Commentary
Now the score is a very small one and Sri Lanka will back themselves to chase this down quite easily. Zimbabwe on the other hand, have been brilliant so far in this tournament and have won games from difficult situation. Their bowlers though will have to put in a once in a lifetime performance here. Can they do so? We will find out.
Yet another excellent bowling performance from Lanka! Another side which has not crossed the 200-run mark against them. It was Dilshan Madushanka who began it all but getting three with the new ball. Then there was a decent partnership betwee, Raza and Sean Williams which got their side back into the game. Sean Williams scored another fifty. Once Raza fell though it was a procession. Maheesh Theekshana ran through the middle order and Matheesha Pathirana made quick work of the lower-order. Overall, Lanka are well and truly on top at the halfway mark.

Zimbabwe on the other hand, were under par in this game. They have completely been outplayed. First, their batters could not tackle the pace and the spin from the Lankans and then their bowlers did not cause a lot of trouble to the Lankan batters. Yes, they did not have enough runs on the board but they would have loved to taken a couple of more wickets.
Quite a thumping win for the Lankans! This was never in doubt after their excellent bowling performance. They kept Zimbabwe down to a low score and in reply, their openers put on a really good stand which more or less sealed the deal. Mendis then came in and along with Pathum Nissanka ensured it was the two of them who would take their side home. Pathum Nissanka was the star with a ton.

Zimbabwe on the other hand, were under par in this game. They have completely been outplayed. First, their batters could not tackle the pace and the spin from the Lankans and then their bowlers did not cause a lot of trouble to the Lankan batters. Yes, they did not have enough runs on the board but they would have loved to taken a couple of more wickets.
Quite a thumping win for the Lankans! This was never in doubt after their excellent bowling performance. They kept Zimbabwe down to a low score and in reply, their openers put on a really good stand which more or less sealed the deal. Mendis then came in and along with Pathum Nissanka ensured it was the two of them who would take their side home. Pathum Nissanka was the star with a ton.
