Right then that's it from the Final game of the 5-match T20I series between New Zealand and Pakistan. Both the captains share the trophy. After the opening game being washed out the two sides share a couple of victories each as the series draws level at 2-2. Cricketing action continues to come our way thick and fast and all you need to do is just stay updated to our side and we will keep on bringing more action to all. Until then cheers and goodbye!!

Babar Azam says he used the bowlers according to the game situation as the pitch was helping the seamers early on and the spinners later. Adda that he opted for Saim in the powerplay with the ball as he did the same in PSL and Imad is an experienced lad who could bowl anywhere. Mentions that the new ball was coming nicely but it gripped a hit as the ball got old. Adds that 10-20 run more could've been better as they were short of what they targeted. Closes by saying they have lots of positives from this series and they have mixed and matched a mot of combinations and this would help them going ahead.

Michael Bracewell says it’s a fair reflection of the series. Adds he is very happy that they came here and adjusted to the conditions. Shares they lost a couple of wickets in the middle and they lost momentum there, Usama Mir and Shaheen Afridi bowled really well and that is where lost momentum. It has been a great series, it’s been a great experience playing in these conditons and the debutants did well.

Shaheen Afridi wins the player of the match and the player of the series award.  He says he tries to strike with the ball, also try to contribute with the bat and in the field. Shares the ball was keeping a bit low and they focused on bowling wicket-to-wicket and also on variations and it worked. Adds when the ball is reversing, he tries to mix things up but yorker is the best ball in this format

New Zealand had the game under the belt for most part but kept losing wickets regularly. Tim Seifert scored a fine fifty on top but did't got much partnership to  build upon. Credit to Pakistan for the way they bowled. Shaheen Afridi was at his best tonight and so were the spinners in the middle phase who got the team back into the game. Shaheen Afridi ended with four wickets and produced an absolute match winning performance.

A thrilling game comes to an end. Pakistan needed this win to level the series and the bowlers stepped up to the occassion. New Zealand were ito the game till the last six overs when James Neesham was out there but onnce he fell, New Zealand crumbled and lost a couple of more wickets. However, the hopes were kept alive by Josh Clarkson who played a absolute blinder till the last over but didn't get on strike.

...The Chase...

New Zealand will be slightly disappointed. Their pacers were not upto the mark in the initial phase. They gave away a few freebies to Azam who scored a fine fifty and build a stand along with Zaman. Still, this is a par score on this pitch. The Kiwi batters are in fine form and will back themselves to chase this down. Who do you think will win? Stay tuned for the second half.

A decent performance from Pakistan but we feel they are 10-15 short. Pakistan started well and were in good position at the halfway mark. They though  fell off the track while Azam and Zaman were batting together. New Zealand pulled things back very nicely in the middle phase but in the last last three overs have away a few runs.

Commentary

...The Chase...

We are all set. The players are out in the middle. Babar Azam and Saim Ayub to open for Pakistan. Zakary Foulkes to bowl first. Let's go..

Babar Azam says they would have batted first. The pitch looks good to bat and would love to put runs on the board. Reckons they want to play well in the first six overs and then end well. Informs Shaheen Afridi is back for Zaman Khan.

Michael Bracewell says they will bowl first as feels the dew could play it's part later on. Shares they want to learn and grow on this tour and try and put up a good show. Informs they have made three changes. Tim Seifert, Cole McConchie and Zakary Foulkes are back in.

New Zealand (Playing XI) - Tim Seifert (WK), Tom Blundell, Michael Bracewell (C), Mark Chapman, Cole McConchie, James Neesham, Josh Clarkson, Zakary Foulkes, Ish Sodhi, Ben Sears, William O'Rourke.

Pakistan (Playing XI) - Babar Azam (C), Saim Ayub, Usman Khan (WK), Fakhar Zaman, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Shaheen Afridi, Usama Mir, Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Amir.

TOSS - New Zealand have won the toss and will bowl first.

Pakistan won the second game comfortably but New Zealand bounced back brilliantly by winning the next two games and that to in some manner. The fourth game in particular took Pakistan by surprise as they failed to chase down a par score. Credit to the tourists though, they are not here to lean back and chill but to show the world what their bench strength does possess. This is a must win for Pakistan to level the series but the Kiwis are looking to take the trophy home. We are in for a cracker for sure. Stay tuned for toss and other updates.

Hello and welcome to the final match between New Zealand and Pakistan. Not many would have expected the home team to see trailing against an unexpected Kiwi side coming into the final match. However, we all have been taken by surprise with how things have panned out.

...MATCH DAY...

Pakistan finds themselves trailing in the T20I series against an unexpectedly green New Zealand squad, a scenario they likely didn't anticipate before the last match. Surprisingly, the hosts suffered consecutive defeats, leaving them with the possibility of only leveling the series as the Kiwis lead 2-1, with one match washed out due to rain. Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, skipper Babar Azam, wicket-keeper Usman Khan, and all-rounder Shadab Khan are pivotal in the batting department for Pakistan. The return of Mohammad Amir has bolstered their bowling attack, forming a formidable pace duo with Shaheen Afridi, while Naseem Shah provides valuable support. Abrar Ahmed and Shahdab are key spinners in the squad. The narrow four-run loss in the last game would have stung, motivating the Pakistani players to avoid a potentially embarrassing series defeat on home soil. New Zealand, on the contrary, has displayed remarkable character and resilience, turning the tide after a setback in the second game. Tim Robinson's impressive fifty in the last match underscores his importance, alongside Dean Foxcroft, Tom Blundell, and James Neesham, who are key figures in the batting lineup. With most first-team players occupied in the Indian T20 League, New Zealand's bowling attack is makeshift. However, William O'Rourke's excellent performance in the last game, supported by Ben Sears and Jacob Duffy in the pace department, and Michael Bracewell and Ish Sodhi handling spin, has provided stability. The Kiwis aim to capitalize on their winning momentum and secure a third consecutive victory to claim a memorable series win, while the hosts are determined to prevent that outcome. The stage is set for a thrilling encounter as both teams vie for supremacy. Let's wait and watch to see who emerges victorious.
