This one is pushed through quicker, short and on middle, Yashasvi Jaiswal skips down the track and looks to slog it away over mid-wicket, but gets hurried due to the extra bounce and mistimes it completely in the air towards long off, Abdul Samad settles under it and pouches it safely. Jaiswal goes back after a decent knock but this game is very much alive here.

OUT! CAUGHT! Tom Kohler-Cadmore is finally put out of his misery and Pat Cummins gives Hyderabad their first wicket. Cummins bowls this one on a good length and hones in at the stumps, TKC stays deep in the crease and makes some room trying to go over covers but ends up miscuing it badly. The ball goes high and over cover where Rahul Tripathi keeps his eyes on the ball and pouches it well.

Good pace on the short ball and this is dug in well short, angling it in from off and middle, Tom Kohler-Cadmore backs away to play the ramp but is beaten for pace.

FOUR! Finally, Tom Kohler-Cadmore gets one away and that will give him some confidence. Short of a length and outside off stump, TKC just leans back and plays it with an angled bat using the pace and the ball goes one bounce over the third man fence.

A half-hearted appeal for caught behind but the umpire says no. Full and outside off, around the fifth stump line, Tom Kohler-Cadmore backs away to open up the off side but jams the bat onto the deck as the ball goes past the outside edge.

That in-between length now on off stump, this one stops on the batter a touch and Tom Kohler-Cadmore does well to fend it away.

Not much timing on that one but well over the infield. A heavy ball from Pat Cummins, dug in over middle stump and angled at the body. Tom Kohler-Cadmore is late on the pull but gets it over mid-wicket as Shahbaz Ahmed chases it down and saves a couple of runs.

Hard length, over the top of off stump and just angling back in a bit, Yashasvi Jaiswal stays on the back foot and forces it out just to the right of point for a single.

On the money right away! Bhuvneshwar Kumar comes from over the stumps and bowls it around the top of off stump, angling it across the left-hander. Yashasvi Jaiswal watches it well and plays it late down towards short third.

OUT! RUN OUT! Avesh Khan comes from over the stumps and serves it on a hard length well wide of the off stump and takes some pace off it as well. Pat Cummins comes down the pitch to go over mid off but misses the ball and Jaydev Unadkat is off for the run. Cummins denies it and Sanju Samson throws the ball back to Avesh who turns out and throws it at the stumps. Hyderabad review it for a wide but it is clearly within the guidelines as Cummins moved across. The run out is also checked and IUnadkat is well out of his crease. FOUR! Somehow, Jaydev Unadkat has got that away for a boundary. Full and wide outside off, in the blockhole, Unadkat goes a long way past the off stump and tries to play some sort of flick shot but which way no one knows. Eventually, the ball goes off the inside half of the bat and gets scooped away down to fine leg for a boundary.

OUT! CAUGHT! Solid catch in the deep from Dhruv Jurel and Avesh Khan gets his third wicket. Avesh continues from around the stumps and looks to spear in a yorker at the toes but misses his mark by a few inches. It is a low full toss which is difficult to get under it and Shahbaz Ahmed tries to lift it over long on but mistimes it badly. Jurel comes running in from the deep and puts a good dive forward to take a dine catch.

PITCH REPORT - Ian Bishop is pitchside. He starts by saying that there is a nice wind blowing but the humidity is quite severe and the pitch being used in number 7 which hasn't been used at all. On one side of the square the boundary is just 61 meters whereas on the opposite side, it is 72 meters which might force certain bowlers to bowl from one particular end. Matthew Hayden joins him and says that the surface is extremely hard and it is black clay which means it will hold together well. Reckons there will be some bounce but not much spin and in terms of runs it is a 175-180 type of wicket but you won't be surprised if more runs are scored. Bishop ends by saying that the ground staff don't expect there to be much dew either.

Hyderabad, on the other hand, will be disappointed losing to Kolkata in the Qualifier 1 and it was like a big defeat as well. However, as they finished second in the table, they have another shot but they will have to take down Rajasthan first. Their batting has been relying a lot on their destructive openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma but Rahul Tripathi has also showed good potential with the bat. However, their middle order needs to step up as well. Their bowling attack is a solid one with captain Pat Cummins and Bhuvneshwar Kumar leading from the front while Vijayakanth Viyaskanth gives them a good spin option. Hyderabad will need to shift their focus on this game and if they play like they were in the league stages, it will be tough to defeat them.
