Right then, this is all we have from this game. There's one more game to go in the day and this game will decide the fate of this group. England will take on South Africa and that game starts shortly. You can change tabs and enjoy the coverage. Cheers!

Australia's captain, Aaron Finch says, it was a pleasing day. The way Gayle and Lewis started, they thought it was going to be a long day at first. The plan was to get Marsh early into to crease to get some time to settle in the middle and once the partnership grew there was no stopping them. Adds, they have to wait for the South Africa’s game and they will have their finger’s crossed. Mentions, they will be on their bus while the game would be going on, adds that if the result does not go their way, they can atleast go back with their heads held high.

The Windies skipper, Kieron Pollard says that, it has been a disappointing campaign and the batting has not been up to the mark and their bowling was decent but overall weren't good enough. Tells that Bravo and Gayle has done good things for the game and are very proud of them. Tells that it's the end of a generation. Adds that they have some guys who have been doing good things in T20 cricket in their team and around the world. Mentions they have to look the way they play this format and have to start a foundation now.

David Warner is the MAN OF THE MATCH for his blistering kncok of 89 runs. He says, he is satisfied with his performance and hoping they make it to the semi-finals. Mentions, the key was to play his natural game. Adds that the bowlers have been outstanding in this competition. Adds, DJ Bravo is someone people look up to and Gayle is the one, he looked up to.

... PRESENTATION CEREMONY ...

Earlier on, West Indies were put into bat by Aaron Finch and somehow managed to put on a par score of 157 runs on the board. David Warner never gave a chance to the Windies bowlers and Australia just breezed through the chase, winning easily by 8 wickets in the end.

Well, there's nothing much left to say about the reigning champions apart from the fact that this tournament should serve as a wake-up call for their younger generation, if they are to emulate past success. After a late flourish with the bat, one would have expected more from their bowlers. After the early breakthrough, it was a flat performance on the field by West Indies. A day on which, they are celebrating two stalwarts of the game, Windies will be disappointed to have put up such a performance.

Now then, the Aussies are finally looking like a team everyone expects them to be. Apart from that horror show against arch-rivals England, the Aussies have been on a roll. Aaron Finch got out early but then it was the David Warner show. He took the attack to the Windies bowlers and came out on top. Mitchell Marsh played second fiddle, then burst into life himself. Both batters surpassed the 50-run mark and added on 124 runs. Marsh got out for 53 but Warner ended unbeaten on 89 as he hit the winning runs as well.

It was nothing short of a cake walk for the Aussies today and they have bolstered their chances of making it to the semi-finals and well for Windies it's a disappointing end to a disappointing campaign. Lovely scenes on the ground though, as players from both nations join in to give a guard of honor to Dwayne Bravo and Chris Gayle. A lovely gesture, which upholds the spirit of the game.

16.24

FOUR! There it is! Australia have done all that they can in staying alive in this tournament. Down the leg side, Warner flicks it to the left of leg slip. Chris Gayle is there but he barely reacts and just laughs. Warner charges down for the single but Maxwell smartly reminds him to not complete the single as a boundary would only help their net run rate. And now, the two Aussies hug each other as the ball touches the fine leg fence. Had they completed the single before the boundary, it would have counted as a single as only a run was required. Warner punches his fists in the air in joy.

16.10

Full and on leg, Warner flicks it to short fine leg.

Glenn Maxwell walks out to bat. Also, Roston Chase is back into the attack.

Commentary

We are back for the run chase! The umpires are out in the middle and so are the West Indies players. David Warner and Aaron Finch are set to open for Australia. Akeal Hosein to start with the ball and Pollard is standing at short leg.

... THE RUN CHASE ...

Right then. Austrailian batters have a tough task ahead of them, with the Windies looking hungry to end their campaign on a high and to spare the qualiers in the next T20 World Cup. Will Australia get over the line? Or will West Indies spoil the party of the Aussies?

Adam Zampa is in for a chat. He says that he just tries to use the wicket to his advantage. Mentions that he uses his variations well and knows what role he has to play. Tells that he is pretty happy with the target and says it is a pretty decent wicket.

The Aussies cameback stronger after facing some lusty blows in the start but they got derailed in the death overs. West Indies planned to take the game away from the word go. The Australian bowling took a beating early on, especially Josh Hazlewood. It was Pat Cummins who began the proceedings in the third over. In the very next over, Hazlewood picked up two wickets to get his side back into the game. Since then, the Aussies kept things tight and did not let the hard-hitting middle order of West Indies to free their arms. Zampa and Starc ended with a wicket each. Josh Hazlewood, was the pick of the bowlers with a four-wicket haul. Although, Australia lost their grip in the death overs and leaked plenty runs, which could prove to be costly.

West Indies fought till the end and that's what the best teams do.Nothing has allowed West Indies to have a stable batting order in the past games in this campaign. That continued even today. Gayle and Lewis started off brilliantly mostly it was the former who had his foot on the gas. In the first 2 overs West Indies were at 24/0, but after the next 2, they saw themselves reeling at 37/3. Since then, the runs came at a very slow pace. Gayle, Pooran and Chase were the once who slipped out. Lewis got off to a start but perished as soon as he decided to up the ante. Bravo and Hetmyer could not stick around for long. In the death overs, Pollard went guns blazing with the blade and helped West Indies cross the 140-run mark before slipping out. Later, Russell chipped in to end the innings with two maximums to reach 157/7.

A good comeback by West Indies! It was a captain’s knock by Pollard to give his bowlers something to fight with. Although, Australia lost their grip in the death overs and West Indies are going into the break with the momentum on their side.

We are set to get underway! Both the team stride out to the middle for the national anthems. It will be West Indies' first. Followed by the one of Australia's.

Glenn Maxwell is up for a chat. He says that they are looking forward to play against West Indies. Mentions that Marsh can hit the ball non stop and says that if he gets extended time in the middle, he can do the damage. Tells that Zampa is a phenomenal bowler and will be key to stop them. Hopes that they win this game and then follow the next game closely.

Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo are in for a chat. Gayle says that he has fun memories winning 2 world titles and Bravo has done well for the country and is a legend of the game. Tells that he would like him to sign off on a high. Jokingly says that he is semi-retired. Bravo says that it is an honor to represent West Indies for 18 years. Tells that it feels good to have a successful career and has no regrets. Adds that he wants to win his last international match and end on high. On Gayle, he says that no one can question on what he has done for the game and is happy to share the same room over the years. Further adds that Gayle himself is a legend of the game and at 42, he still has the hunger to play the game is amazing.

The West Indies skipper, Kieron Pollard says that the guys have done an amazing job in the last decade in T20 cricket and it's a bit disappointing to not have a last hurrah. Mentions that it would be really nice to finish off on a high. Adds that they will look to cover all bases today and there is one change in the team, Hayden Walsh comes in for Ravi Rampaul.

Aaron Finch, the Australian skipper, is in for a chat. He says that they will bowl first. Mentions that it looks like a good wicket and it won't change much over the course of 40 overs. Tells that they will not worry about the net run rate and are only eyeing 2 points. Informs that they are going with the same team.

West Indies (Playing XI) - Evin Lewis, Chris Gayle, Roston Chase, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran (WK), Kieron Pollard (C), Andre Russell, Dwayne Bravo, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Hayden Walsh (In for Ravi Rampaul).

Australia (Unchanged playing XI) - Aaron Finch (C), David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Steven Smith, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade (WK), Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood.

TOSS - Both the skippers are out in the middle for an all-important toss. The coin goes up and lands in favour of Australia. They have opted to BOWL first.

PITCH REPORT - Ian Bishop is down near the surface to give insight about the pitch. He says, the pitch does have a few patches on the back of a length spot. The batsmen could face yet another challenging surface. The square boundaries are short but the straight boundary is a long hit.

West Indies have not played to their reputation and are already knocked out of the competition. In their previous match  against Sri Lanka, they lost by 20 runs in a high scoring clash. West Indies have nothing to lose in this game and can release the handbrake and enjoy themselves without any sort of inhibition. They would look to end their campaign on a positive note and bid farewell to Dwayne Bravo in what will be his final match in West Indies colors. Stay tuned for team news and toss.

The Aussies will be brimming with confidence after they defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets. Their bowling attack fired especially Adam Zampa who was at the forefront of their success scalping a five-fer. The only slight worry might be the lack of wickets for Pat Cummins. But Australia know what he brings to the fore and will not be losing sleep over it. Australia might start this game as favorites, not because they are in a better form but they also have plenty to gain. Though a few months ago, they were thrashed by West Indies 4-1 in the T20I series and would be aware of their capabilities which makes this game even more exciting.

Australia and West Indies are set to lock horns in match number 38 of the T20 World Cup. Both teams will play their final match of the Super 12 stages. The Kangaroos have experienced excellent campaign winning 3 of their 4 rubbers while the 'Men in Maroon' have endured a poor run losing 3 of their 4 games. A win for Australia here will get them inch close to the semi final berth while West Indies are already knocked out of the competition but winning is always a good habit and they would look to end their campaign on a high. On that note, a warm welcome to the coverage.
