Honestly, nothing to write for the home team. After that horrific batting performance, the bowlers did not create many chances. Apart from the wicket of Liton Das, there was a dropped catch on the very first over but after that, it was all flat. Kagiso Rabada, South Africa's premier bowler, was taken to cleaners by Tamim Iqbal, while there was nothing much from others as well. It was a day to forget for South Africa. It was a bad toss to win for Temba Bavuma.

It looked like South Africa did not arrive for the decider. They were defeated in all departments. It was the bowlers who put on a show, the hero of the hour, Taskin Ahmed bowled probing lengths and the Proteas had no answers for him. South Africa were bundled out for 154 and their batters had all the momentum with them. Das and Tamim Iqbal had a composed start and once they found the groove, both started to hit boundaries at will. Tamim Iqbal brought up his fifty in quick time while Das complemented him nicely, he failed to reach the landmark but did all the job for his team. Shakib Al Hasan came and played around to take his team home. A fantastic day, a fantastic performance and a fantastic series for Bangladesh as they win the ODI series 2-1.

HISTORY HAS BEEN CREATED! The Bangla Tigers have roared on the African desert...Bangladesh win their first ever ODI series against South Africa in South Africa. The crowd erupts at the SuperSport Park and there will be huge celebrations happening in the Bangladesh camp. They have totally outclassed the hosts here and the celebrations will go on for a long, long time.

Commentary

We are back for the chase! The players have made their way out to the middle. Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das are at the crease. Kagiso Rabada will start proceedings with the ball for the Proteas. Let's go!

... THE RUN CHASE ...

Bangladesh has a chance of creating history at Centurion! Their bowlers have done an incredible job of restricting the Proteas to 154 and it is now onto their batters to show some composure and take Bangladesh to a famous victory. Do join us for their reply which begins shortly.

The man of the moment, Taskin Ahmed is up for a quick chat. He says he is very happy. Adds, he just stuck to his process and indicates there was some extra bounce which helped him. Tells that he has been believing in the process for many years and that is the key to his success.

Bangladesh would be over the moon right now! They pulled things back in their favor after leaking runs at the start and it was Mehidy Hasan who got them the breakthrough. Although, it was Taskin Ahmed who stole the show as he kept the batters on their toes and picked wickets in a cluster for his side. This is the second 5-wicket haul for Taskin Ahmed in ODIs. The previous time he took a Michelle, it was in 2014 against India in Dhaka, but his team stumbled to 58 all out, chasing a 'meager' total of 106 as a certain Stuart Binny ran havoc. This time, the target is bigger but the conditions look pretty good to script a famous overseas match and series win for Bangladesh.

South Africa got off to a good start and it was Janneman Malan who was the aggressor for them. Quinton de Kock perished while trying to up the ante and after that nothing went the Proteas' way. Wickets kept tumbling for them and they completely lost the plot. Miller and Dwaine Pretorius showed some resistance but they too got out after getting a start. If not for Keshav Maharaj, South Africa would have failed to cross even the 130-run mark. He finished as their second-highest run-scorer and that sums up their story.

What a splendid bowling performance this has been from Bangladesh! They have been absolutely brilliant with the ball and South Africa have now recorded their lowest-ever ODI total against Bangladesh. At one point, the Proteas were cruising along as the openers stitched together a good partnership of 46 runs. However, they lost 10 wickets for just 108 runs and it is the tourists who have dominated the proceedings and history beckons for them.

Bangladesh burn their review early on in the innings! Islam runs in and serves a good-length ball, around off that jags away late. Janneman Malan has a poke at it but he misses and the ball goes through to the keeper. Shoriful Islam appeals for a caught behind and convinces his skipper to opt for a review. They go up but the UltraEdge confirms that there was clear daylight between bat and ball. The on-field decision stands.

Islam starts with a length ball, just outside off. Janneman Malan prods but leaves it alone.

We are all set for the action. But first, both the teams will line up for their respective national anthems. It is Bangladesh's first followed by South Africa's. We are done with the proceedings and it is now time for the game to begin. The players will take the knee to support the 'BLM' movement.  Quinton de Kock and Janneman Malan are the openers for the Proteas. Shoriful Islam to start with the ball. Two slips in place...

TOSS - South Africa have won the toss and they have elected to BAT first.

After Bangladesh’s historic first ODI win, the Proteas came back strong on a difficult pitch, thanks to Rabada’s brilliance and de Kock’s quick heroics which helped them to level the series. A series win could mean another golden feather in the cap of Bangladesh’s cricketing voyage. The mix of experience and youth has done a superb job for Bangladesh and you can see the depth in their batting and also the improvement in their bowling. All in all, it is a very important match for both teams not just for the series but also for the points in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League. Stay tuned for the toss and other updates.

Hello and a warm welcome to the third and final ODI of the series between South Africa and Bangladesh. It is time for the decider and Bangladesh have a chance to create history to win the series for the first time on South African soil, while the hosts have never lost to the Bangla Tigers, so they will look to keep the procession intact. It is a do-or-die match as the team which wins will take the series home, the ODI series to be precise. Let's hope for a cracking contest here at SuperSport Park.
