Hello and a warm welcome to our coverage of the final T20I in this three match series between Pakistan and Afghanistan from Sharjah. Afghanistan have already clinched the series and will look for a similar effort to make this a historic whitewash. It is now time for the third and final T20I of the three-match T20I series between Afghanistan and Pakistan at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Before the start of the series, Pakistan, being the higher-ranked side, were the favourite to win the series. However, Afghanistan have sprung a surprise by winning the first two games of the series and, by doing so, have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. On the other hand, Pakistan have been given a massive reality check, and they have nothing but pride to play for in the third T20I. In the first two T20Is, the top-order batters failed to make a mark, and it has been the middle-order batters who have done the bulk of the scoring. The likes of Mohammad Haris, Saim Ayub, and Abdullah Shafique are due for a big score and will need to step up for Pakistan in this final game of the series. In his debut series, Ihsanullah has been the leader of Pakistan’s bowling attack, and he has been well supported by Imad Wasim and Zaman Khan. For Afghanistan, it has been the bowlers who have made the job easier for their batters. As they eye a series whitewash, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, and Najibullah Zadran would be expected to contribute with the bat. In the bowling department, Fazalhaq Farooqi has been the star for Afghanistan, and he has been complimented exceptionally well by the likes of Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Despite the scoreline reading 2-0 in favour of Afghanistan, both T20Is have been tight affairs, and the third T20I promises to be no exception. Will Afghanistan dish out a 3-0 hammering?
