Right then, that is all we have from this game. The second game of this Super Sunday between Chennai and Hyderabad is already underway. So switch tabs and enjoy another fascinating contest. Cheers!

Mohsin Khan is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his brilliant spell (4-0-16-4).

For Lucknow, they began well but had no answers to the counter-attack by Pant and Marsh. Bishnoi though did really well in the middle overs. Krishnappa Gowtham was also decent and got a big wicket of Mitchell Marsh. However, Mohsin Khan was the star for Lucknow. He was absolutely brilliant and got wickets when mattered for his side. Have to say, he is the reason for his team's win in this game.

After putting on a big score on the board, they managed to get the two Delhi openers early. Then, Mitchell Marsh and Pant counter-attacked. They put on a decent stand in no time and took Delhi on top. Marsh fell but Pant continued along with Powell. They once again took Delhi in a good position but once Pant fell, Delhi kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel did try their best towards the end but it was not enough.

What a game of cricket! Absolutely brilliant! In the end, it is Lucknow who have bagged the two points. They managed to keep their cool in crunch situations in this game and have come out on top.

Commentary

We are back for the chase! KL Rahul is giving some last minute instructions to his boys in the huddle. They disperse now to take their respective positions. Prithvi Shaw and David Warner are the openers for Delhi.  Delhi need a good start here and onus will be on these two to deliver. Mohsin Khan will start with the ball for Lucknow. Here we go...

...THE RUN CHASE…

Now the target is a big one, the wicket is a good one to bat on too, it is holding a bit but still a good wicket. A few of the Delhi batters are due for a big score but can they deliver is the question. Lucknow on the other hand, have been brilliant with the ball so far but it will be interesting to see if they do manage to chase this down. Join us for the second essay in a bit.

Deepak Hooda is down for a quick chat. Hooda says that he is happy batting at number 3 and he bats top of the order in domestic cricket and he is enjoying it. Tells that as a domestic player he is used to playing on these wickets and tells that wicket is good to bat on but is a bit slow. Mentions that it is important to be flexible according to the need of the team. Adds that they did not have any specific score on their mind while they were batting and tells that they have a good score on the board.

Delhi's bowling was not at its best! They bowled well in patches. Shardul Thakur was the only one who had a good outing with a three-fer but the rest were not at their best. Axar Patel was economical as well. However, the likes of Mustafizur and Sakariya did well towards the end and have kept Lucknow in check.

Lucknow lost Quinton de Kock early but Deepak Hooda and KL Rahul put up a fine stand to lay the platform. Hooda played as the aggressor and Rahul played the second fiddle. Both got to their half tons. Rahul continued after the departure of Hooda. Stoinis however, did not fulfill his role, he was probably sent to go big but did not strike at the strike rate his team would have liked. At one stage, above 200 looked possible but Lucknow have fallen below the 200-run mark.

Delhi have managed to pull things back nicely but Lucknow will be pretty pleased with the score they have on the board, especially in a day game, this is not going to be an easy chase.

19.51

Full and wide, driven towards deep point for a run.

19.46

SIX! Marcus Stoinis was having a slow day at the office but Mustafizur Rahman has offered him a gift here. Right in the slot and this is smoked well over the long on fence for a huge hit. Stoinis also gets past 1000 runs in the Indian T20 League.

19.31

19.22

Mustafizur Rahman switches to 'round the wicket and delivers a low full toss outside off. Pandya drives it through extra cover and picks up an easy brace.

19.21wd

WIDE! Full and wide again, just beyond the tramline and Delhi have been guilty of bowling way too many wides today.

19.21wd

WIDE! Way too full and way too wide from the Fizz this time. Wide called.

19.12

Lalit Yadav is having a mixed day in the field and a misfield from him allows the extra run. This is full and wide, Pandya slashes it towards deep point for a couple of runs.

18.4W

OUT! TAKEN! Lalit Yadav makes amends for his earlier drop and pulls off a stunner! Shardul Thakur bangs it in a bit and pushes it wider. KL Rahul goes after it and hits it flat and hard towards the cover-point fence. The ball seems to be flying over Yadav's head but he times his jump to perfection and snatches it out of thin air. Rahul departs after yet another classy knock.

18.36

SIX! This is intentional yet again from KL Rahul and he is displaying his full array of shots here. Full and wide, almost a yorker. Rahul slashes at it but just at the last second, opens the face of the bat and the ball flies over the third man fence for a maximum.

18.21

Risky single but Marcus Stoinis survives! A low full toss, around off. Stoinis crunches it straight to Prithvi Shaw at extra cover but Shaw's throw is a bit wide. Thakur also fails to flick it onto the stumps and Stoinis gets through for a single.

18.21wd

WIDE! Thakur tries to slide it into the pads of Marcus Stoinis but spills it down the leg side. Wided.

18.11

Full and around off, Thakur takes pace off the ball as well. Rahul heaves it towards deep mid-wicket for just a single.

DRINKS! Lucknow have done well to take five wickets here. However, Delhi is still in it as Powell is looking dangerous in the middle and there is some batting to follow still. If Lucknow can get rid of Powell, then they will be right in the driver's seat. They need to field well though than they have done so far while Delhi need Powell to stay till the end. DRINKS! Well, after how the first three overs went, nobody expected Delhi to counter-attack in that fashion. Skipper, Rishabh Pant and Mitchell Marsh have made full use of the fielding restrictions as even after losing two early wickets, Delhi continue to be the highest-scoring side in the Powerplay, The match is now more evenly balanced and this break might have come at the right time for Lucknow and now they can compose themselves and get back on track. It is always a matter of wickets and the scoring rate slows down automatically. For Delhi though, these two need to continue their partnership for as long as possible.

The third umpire takes his time to check the replays and concludes that the fingers were underneath and Warner has to depart.

Is this a fair catch? It looks close. The on-field umpires have taken it upstairs. The replays roll in and they confirm that the catch is taken cleanly. So David Warner has to walk back.

We are ready for play! The two umpires make their way out to the middle, followed by the players of Delhi. The dynamic opening pair of KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock also stride out to the middle. Mustafizur Rahman has the new ball in hand and is raring to go. Let's play...

Rishabh Pant, the skipper of Delhi, says that they don’t mind bowling first and tells that this is a new wicket and no one has played in it so lets see how it behaves. Tells that they are focussing on cricket and they are looking to improve. Informs that they are playing an unchanged XI. Mentions that Nortje is coming off well in practice and he is getting back to his best.

KL Rahul, the skipper of Lucknow, says that they will have a bat first as the wicket looks good and they want to put runs on the board. Adds they defended a total last time around and hence, backs the guys to do it again. Adds that mistakes do happen and after the last match they had a chat and the guys are honest enough to accept and try to improve. Informs that Krishnappa Gowtham is in for Avesh Khan because Avesh is still recovering from an injury and Krishnappa Gowtham will come into play against the opposition's left-handers.

Delhi (Unchanged Playing XI) - Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Lalit Yadav, Rishabh Pant (C) (WK), Rovman Powell, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman, Chetan Sakariya.

Lucknow (Playing XI) - Quinton de Kock (WK), KL Rahul (C), Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Marcus Stoinis, Ayush Badoni, Jason Holder, Krishnappa Gowtham (In place of Avesh Khan), Dushmantha Chameera, Mohsin Khan, Ravi Bishnoi.

TOSS - The coin goes up and lands in favour of Lucknow. They have elected to BAT first.

PITCH REPORT - Kevin Pietersen is pitchside. He says that the wicket looks good and talks about the dimensions saying that nowadays the batters don't care about that. Adds that the wickets are getting slower and hence, the pacers need to vary their line and length as well along with the pace. Reckons 160-170 is a good score on this wicket.

Lucknow seem a really balanced unit with a lot of firepower in the batting and the bowling. They are on a two-game winning streak and will be looking to make it 3. Lucknow also got the better of Delhi earlier in the season, so they have a bit of an upper hand. Who will come out on top? Toss and teams in a bit…

Delhi, just haven’t clicked as a unit so far. They haven’t managed to put in consistent performances. Yes, they have had their issues but they need to start racking up the wins from here on. They’ll be confident heading into this fixture and will hope to match their performance from the last game.

On Saturday, we finally saw Mumbai bag its first points of the season. Also, Bangalore lost its third game in a row. That loss now gives Delhi a chance to topple them in the table with a win here. They though are up against a high-flying Lucknow side who can move to second place with a victory. Both the sides head into this game on the back of a win and this promises to be a cracker. On that note, welcome to the coverage.
