An Andy Balbirnie special saw Ireland upset the odds and take a 1-0 surprise lead in the series. That win would have given them massive confidence and they would be eager to do it again. Pakistan on the other hand, would be looking to bounce back. They are still massive favourites heading into this encounter. Can they make it 1-1 or is there another surprise in store?

It is time for the second match of the three-game T20I series between Ireland and Pakistan at Castle Avenue in Dublin. Pakistan face a quick turnaround after suffering a surprising defeat in the series opener, while Ireland are riding high on confidence and aiming to clinch the series with another victory in the second game. In the first T20I, Pakistan had a slow start in the Powerplay but managed to finish strongly, posting a total of 182. However, Andrew Balbirnie spearheaded Ireland's chase, and with contributions from other batters, they managed to clinch a historic victory with a ball to spare, marking their first T20I win against Pakistan. Despite Paul Stirling and Lorcan Tucker failing to make an impact with the bat for Ireland, Andy Balbirnie, Harry Tector, and George Dockrell stepped up, providing them with a significant confidence boost heading into the second match. With the ball, Craig Young was the standout performer, but the other pacers, like Mark Adair, Barry McCarthy, Curtis Campher, and leggie Ben White, struggled and will be looking to improve their performance.
