Play will resume at 18:30 local (13:00 GMT), it will also be a 47-overs-a-side game, providing the rain does not come back for another serving. There are revised playing conditions as well. Two bowlers can complete the quota of 10 overs, while 3 bowlers can bowl 9 overs.

UPDATE 17:55 local (12:25 GMT) - The rain has stopped quite a while back, but the groundstaff continue their mop-up job. No overs have been lost, so far, but we are closing in on that territory, if there are some more delays. Doesn't look likely though. Shouldn't be long before we are back again.

Dasun Shanaka, the skipper of Sri Lanka, says that the wicket is dry and the wicket will hold a bit, as the game goes on. States that they have 3 changes to their side, as Kasun Rajitha, Wanindu Hasaranga and Lakshan Sandakan are out and Praveen Jayawickrama, Akila Dananjaya and Ramesh Mendis come in. Feels that they are on the right track at the moment.

Shikhar Dhawan, the Indian captain, says that they haven't batted first yet and want to put up a good total on board. States that they have made six changes, including 5 debutants- Samson, Sakariya, Rana, Rahul Chahar, and Gowtham. Navdeep Saini also comes into the team. Adds that they are motivated and want to finish on a high leading to the T20 World Cup and the youngsters are excited about this opportunity.

Hardik Pandya is in for a chat. Says that the boys have shown great character in the way they have played. Mentions that he is a hundred percent fit and is not too fussed about his own form as he says that it's all part of the game and he has more good days than the bad ones. Further stresses that it's all about believing in his own abilities. On comparisons between him and SKY, about their tattoos, he says that it's not a competition between him and SKY but yes, they both love tattoos.

Uh oh! Looks like Sri Lanka's problems are going from bad to worse. One of their best performers for them in the last 2 games, WANINDU HASARANGA, has been ruled out of this game, as he has suffered a muscle tear. You know the saying - when it rains, it pours!

With this being a dead rubber in terms of the series, we should expect India to make a couple of changes and hand chances to youngsters and there should be some debuts today as well. For Sri Lanka, the stakes are slightly higher, as they will want to pouch the 10 points of the World Cup Super League and they might look to send their best eleven. Regardless of whatever changes both sides make, we hope that this game replicates the emotion and thrill that the second ODI served us!

Hello, folks! Time for the third and final ODI of the series between Sri Lanka and India. The series has already been wrapped up by the Men in Blue and so, there is not a lot of play for, in the context of the series, but still, both teams have something to fight for, as India will be looking to display that their 'B' team can go to another country and whitewash the hosts comprehensively. Whereas, the Lankans have pride to play for, as they will want to end this series with a win and not allow India to take all the honors. Which team comes out victorious?
