DRINKS! It has been an arm-wrestle so far in Australia’s chase, and the game is nicely poised. India have the two experienced men, Head and Marsh, out of the way. While this is an inexperienced middle order, Matthew Short and Alex Carey have played plenty of cricket here in Adelaide and know these conditions well. Batting has also looked easier compared to how it was early on with the new ball. KL Rahul from behind the stumps indicated height and the Ball Tracking shows that not only was it going over the stumps but the ball pitched outside leg.

That's the end of Josh Hazlewood with the ball in this contest. Josh Hazlewood's stats might not show it, but he bowled incredibly well, creating pressure and setting up opportunities for his teammates. His 10 overs for 29 runs, although wicketless on paper, will have been invaluable in terms of the pressure he applied. And indeed, that pressure seemed to pay off for Xavier Bartlett, who picked up crucial wickets. Sometimes, the value of a bowler's spell isn't always reflected in the scorecard.

End of a superb spell from Josh Hazlewood! He is unlucky to go wicketless. On any other day, Hazlewood would have at least had a couple of wickets to his name. Full and on off, Axar Patel pushes it to mid off.

This is pushed through by Zampa and the length is pulled back. KL Rahul presses on the back foot and attempts the pull but the ball skids through and sneaks under the blade to hit the top of the off stump.

FOUR! Good use of the feet! Floated up by Zampa, full and outside off. KL Rahul skips down the track, opens up the front hip and goes inside out cover. A valiant effort from Xavier Bartlett as he sprints and tumbles away to his right but the ball goes under his hands and into the boundary cushions.

This kicks up a bit, on a nagging length, on off. Axar Patel looks to keep it out but the ball hits the splice of the bat and rolls beside the strip on the off side.

Angling in and then straightening off the deck, on a good length. Axar plays the initial line for the block but is beaten past the outside edge due to the movement.

Risky leave! Fuller in length from around the wicket, this nips back in and Axar shoulders arms without covering the off stump. The ball was not far away from crashing into the woodwork.
