We are done and dusted with the 3-match T20I series and now the action will shift to the 2-match Test series involving these two teams. The first Test starts on 26th November 2021 in Chattogram. The match will begin at 10 am local (4 am GMT) but you can join us in advance for the build-up. Cheers!

There is no trophy handed to Pakistan as it will be given to them after the completion of the Test series.

Babar Azam, the winning captain of Pakistan, says that every individual performed and credits his boys for showing the fight and winning the matches. Adds that they need to keep improving and is happy with the way their fielding has improved. He wants to reduce the mistakes. Tells that they will take this winning momentum into the Test series.

MOHAMMAD RIZWAN IS CHOSEN FOR THE PLAYER OF THE SERIES AWARD! Says that he is happy with his performance in this series as his knocks have helped Pakistan win. Adds that the pitch was tricky and especially when you play away, the pitch would behave differently but says that they assess the situation and conditions and look to stick to their plans. States that he has worked on his keeping from the past year. Ends by saying that he appreciates the fans as they have supported them well.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH IS HAIDER ALI! Says that the conditions were tough for batting and appreciates Rizwan for helping him. Feels that it got close towards the end but is happy that Pakistan won the match. Tells that they were picking their bowlers and trying to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Mahmudullah, the captain of Bangladesh, says that the batters of both Bangladesh and Pakistan struggled as it is not too easy to bat on this wicket and once you get settled in, only then can you capitalize. Says that Afif and Naim batted very well and they tried to build the pressure on Pakistan. Mahmudullah appreciates the way Taskin came back after getting injured and is happy that all the bowlers stuck to their processes.

Presentation time...

Pakistan cricket team's interim head coach Saqlain Mushtaq comes up for a chat. Says that it was quite close and Pakistan held the nerves nicely and credits Bangladesh also for fighting right till the end. Tells that when you go out of the country, you need to figure things out but he feels that his boys have executed the plans well. Opines that Pakistan are taking things seriously and are ticking all the boxes and are trying to help each other in the dressing room too. Says that it is a great thing for Pakistan that they have a passionate bunch of players and they are all pushing each other.

The Pakistan bowlers bowled with great control and skills to restrict Bangladesh to another mediocre total. They made quite a few changes in their bowling lineup for this game but the debutant Shahnawaz Dahani and others were on target and delivered what their captain asked them to at the start of the innings. The bowling was particularly impressive at the death as they gave away just 35 runs in the final five overs. On the batting front, they started on a cautious note as Babar and Rizwan started accumulating runs. Babar looked a little out of touch and once he departed Rizwan and Haider put on a solid partnership. Rizwan fell in the 16th over but Haider took the game deep and with wickets in hand, they were looking as favourites to win this one. There was a major hiccup in the last over but the visitors crossed the line courtesy of a biggie from Iftikhar Ahmed and a boundary from Mohammad Nawaz.

The same story was repeated in the third T20I as well, as Bangladesh ended up on the losing side again. The same batting issues keep haunting them as their batters once again failed to put a reasonable total on the board. They lost an early wicket in the Powerplay and tried to consolidate after that. They did that and had wickets in hand during the last 5 overs. But, their perennial issue of lack of power-hitter in the middle order cost them again as the innings never got the kick it needed. On the bowling front, though, they were on target and despite defending a low total bowled with a great heart. They didn’t take many wickets and Pakistan needed 8 runs with 8 wickets in hand in the last over. Mahmudullah's last over did set the cat among the pigeons but in the end, Mohammad Nawaz kept his cool and hit a boundary on the last ball of the game to take Pakistan home.

Hats-off to the Bangladesh skipper for that brilliant last over. An eventful final over which included three wickets and a six and a boundary, and Pakistan just managed to get over the line in this thriller of a game. It is the first time Bangladesh have tasted a whitewash on home soil in this format in a series with at least 3 games.

One ball to face, two runs to get and Mohammad Nawaz has become the hero this evening by scoring a boundary. A blazing shot from him to seal the deal and Pakistan have completed the whitewash in the 3-match T20I series. What a pulsating match! Well played, Bangladesh. Well fought but once again their batting let them down. The crowd has gone silent but they know that Bangladesh showed a great fighting spirit till the very last ball. Incredible.

FOUR! PAKISTAN HAVE WON THIS! Mohammad Nawaz keeps his nerve this time. Too many stoppages and that could have unnerved him but he keeps his cool. Mahmudullah hurls across a fuller ball, outside off this time, Mohammad Nawaz skips out, gets to the pitch of the ball and smacks this one over covers for a boundary. PAKISTAN WIN BY 5 WICKETS AND WIN THE SERIES 3-0!

Hang on! This time Mahmudullah pulls out. Khushdil Shah immediately parks his bat inside the crease at the bowler's end. Mind games.

Drama, more drama! Mohammad Nawaz is not ready and Mahmudullah has delivered. It breaks the stumps but Nawaz has his hands raised to show that he was not ready. Tension. Pressure. No argument done by Bangladesh. Mahmudullah gets ready to reload.

Mohammad Nawaz is the next batsman and he will be on strike. Super Over, anyone?

19.5W

OUT! TAKEN! This game does not fail to surprise us even more. With just 2 needed, Pakistan have lost one more wicket. Mahmudullah comes over the wicket and serves a fuller ball this time, slanting away outside off, Iftikhar Ahmed gets low and looks to smack this across the line, but he only connects this with the outside edge. The ball loops up towards the point region and Yasir Ali (sub) pouches this easily. 2 needed to win and one needed for the Super Over. Who will keep their nerve?

19.46

SIX! WOW! Iftikhar Ahmed delivers for the visitors! No hat-trick for Mahmudullah and Ahmed completely smashes this one. This is bowled fuller now, around off, Iftikhar Ahmed gets low and smokes this one over the bowler and well over long off right now. 2 needed in 2 now!

The crowd is going bonkers. This place is buzzing. Mahmudullah is on a hat-trick. Khushdil Shah is the new batsman but Iftikhar Ahmed will be on strike as the batsmen had crossed.

19.3W

OUT! CAUGHT! Two-in-two and Pakistan are falling apart right at the end. The skipper is delivering and Bangladesh are well on course to win this game. Mahmudullah comes 'round the wicket and serves a slightly shorter ball, around middle, Haider Ali backs away and tonks this one towards long on. It does not look like it has been timed all that well and it goes straight to Najmul Hossain Shanto, who takes it, the ball pops out, but he manages to hold on. 8 needed in 3 now and Mahmudullah is on a hat-trick now!

Iftikhar Ahmed arrives but it will be Haider Ali on strike.

19.2W

OUT! TAKEN! Bangladesh are not going to make this easy for Pakistan as Mahmudullah gets a wicket now. The pressure is on the visitors right now. Mahmudullah bowls this slightly shorter, around off, Sarfaraz Ahmed gets on his knees and slog-sweeps it towards deep mid-wicket. It looks like it has gone all the way but Mohammad Naim right near the ropes gobbles this one up. 8 needed in 4 now!

19.10

DOT! What a start for Mahmudullah. Slightly fuller, tossed up, around off, spins in slightly with extra bounce, Sarfaraz Ahmed looks to sweep it away but misses and gets hit on the body.

Who will bowl the final over? Mahmudullah has taken responsibility. Bold move.

Yes, he does finish things well but Pakistan get two off the final ball of the penultimate over. Right in the blockhole, on middle, dug out through mid-wicket and two runs are taken comfortably. 8 needed off the final over!

18.51

Slower ball again, back of a length, on the body, pulled to deep square leg for one. Can Islam end the over well?

18.40

DOT AGAIN! Well bowled this time. No pace on this delivery, it's served on a fuller length outside off, Ahmed looks to crack this through the line but fails to connect.

18.31

Fuller, outside off, drilled to sweeper cover and only one is taken. Not much damage done to Bangladesh on the Free Hit!

18.32nb

NO BALL! Poor from Islam. He serves a waist-high full toss on the body, Ahmed works this wide of short fine leg and takes one. He wants another but slips at the non-striker's end. Free Hit coming up now...

18.21

Back of a length, outside off, Haider Ali flat-bats this one but without much timing. It falls safely at mid off and they take a run.

Commentary

We are back for the run chase now. The dynamic opening duo for Pakistan, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan make their way out right now. Mahedi Hasan to start with the ball. Let's go...

... THE RUN CHASE ...

Right then. 125 needed to complete the whitewash for Pakistan. It should be straightforward for them looking at their batting lineup. Let's see how they fare. The run chase on the other side. Stay tuned.

Babar Azam and his men were outstanding once again with the ball. The bowlers did not allow the batters to score runs freely. Mohammad Wasim was brilliant once again, economical and right on the money. Credit to Usman Qadir too, as although he was a tad bit expensive, he managed to pick up important scalps of Afif Hossain and Shamim Hossain as they were looking dangerous. All in all, a different day but the same story. Pakistan will look for that clean sweep in the second innings.

It was a slow start for Bangladesh in this game. For the first time in three matches, Bangladesh lost just one wicket in the Powerplay, however, they managed only to post 33 runs on the board. Shanto was the first victim as he fell cheaply to a beauty by debutant, Shahnawaz Dahani. Mohammad Naim was the top scorer for the hosts in the innings. Naim, along with Shamim Hossain and Afif Hossian tried getting things under control by hitting some biggies and taking on the spinners, Usman Qadir in particular, but could not really hold on. In order to get the scoreboard ticking, Bangladesh kept losing wickets at the death, and now have another low score to defend. They will be under pressure going into the second innings, but a few early wickets can get them into the game. Nevertheless, a tough task is ahead of them.

As expected, this has been yet another low-scoring game. The hosts would have hoped for a much better batting show this time but once more, their batting at the backend has not offered them the late flourish. In order to keep their wickets intact, runs were not flowing easily for the Tigers and eventually, they have ended up with a below-par total for the third game in succession. The Pakistan bowlers have done beautifully once again, despite having a second-string bowling attack. They have just 125 runs to chase for a whitewash.

OUT! Run out on the final ball! A near-yorker around off, at 92.8 mph, Mahedi drills it down to long on and takes a single. Aminul turns and wants the second run but his partner has not responded at all. Babar Azam throws the ball to the keeper who does the rest. Bangladesh finish on 124/7.

19.54

FOUR! The extra pace of the bowler works against him. It's short and around off at 87 clicks, Mahedi Hasan tries to heave but it takes the outside edge and scoots down to third man for a boundary.

19.40

Sharp and short, outside off and shoots up after landing at 86 mph, Mahedi Hasan swings his bat at it and misses. Not called a wide.

19.31

A low full toss around off at 89.5 mph, a heavy ball, Islam only manages to hit it down to long on for one.

19.22

Back of a length, around off, Aminul flat-bats it off the outer edge over backward point. Two taken.

19.1W

OUT! CAUGHT! Another wicket goes down and this time the Bangla skipper falls. It's on a length around off, in the slot but on the slower side, Mahmudullah heaves it over square leg but his shot has more height than distance. Mohammad Wasim is stationed near the fence and he judges the skier perfectly.

Who will walk in now for Bangladesh? Aminul Islam, it is.

OUT! CAUGHT! Wasim has his second wicket. Short in length and wide outside off, Nurul Hasan stands tall inside the crease and tries to slap it over backward point. But it flies off the outer part of his blade and goes to third man. The ball is dying in but Usman Qadir does well to stretch down low and take the catch. Bangladesh are losing the plot at the backend of the innings, yet again.

Mahedi Hasan arrives out in the middle.

18.54

FOUR! Eased away! A low full toss on middle and leg, Nurul neatly deflects it off his pads and finds the fence at fine leg.

18.41

Slower and full, around middle, Mahmudullah flicks it through mid-wicket for a run.

18.3W

OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Mohammad Wasim has not nailed his yorker but a low full toss is equally tough to get away. Mohammad Naim attempts to heave it away by staying deep inside the crease but fails to get enough kick behind his shot. It flies off the top edge in front of square leg, three players converge but Mohammad Wasim runs across to his left, calls for it loudly and completes the catch safely. A good knock from Naim is over, although it was on the slower side.

18.21

Fuller and around off, driven down through mid off for a run.

Nurul Hasan is the latest batter to walk in!

18.10

Shout for an lbw, a lone one from Sarfaraz Ahmed. An 85.2 mph full toss on middle, Mahmudullah tries to whip it across the line but fails to middle his shot. He is pinged on the front foot and the ball drops down on the surface. Wasim quickly runs to gather the ball as Sarfaraz is appealing. Nothing from the umpire, ane someone told him that there is an inside edge.

17.54

FOUR! Off the top edge. Haris Rauf cooks a sharp short delivery outside off, Mahmudullah tries to pull but it flies off the top edge. The fine leg is up inside the ring and it's a boundary. Nearly went all the way.

17.42

Angles in a length ball around off at 147 kmph, Mahmudullah plays it with soft hands to long on and takes two.

17.31

What a delivery, that's a snorter. Haris Rauf digs it in short at 90 mph, follows the batsman down the leg side and Naim is cramped up completely. He somehow fends it off from the back foot as he leans back and the ball flies down to third man. They collect one.

17.20

Pacy short ball, around middle and leg at 87.5 mph, Naim steps back to make room but fails to get any bat on this one.

17.12

Fuller and around middle and leg, Naim gets behind the line and eases it down to the right side of the long on fielder. Mohammad Rizwan makes the stop in the deep and they take a couple of runs.

FOUR! Streaky boundary! Everything going the way of Pakistan and Ali right now. Fuller, floated, around off, Haider Ali looks for the big, booming drive through covers but only manages an outside edge. The ball sneaks past short third man and runs away to the fence.

Stumping appeal against Haider Ali. It has been referred upstairs. Was the back foot in the air? It did come up for a while but was planted when the bails were dislodged.

16.40

NOT OUT! Ali is safe right now. Fuller this time, tossed up too, outside off, stays a touch low as Ali looks to work at this but misses. The keeper collects the ball and at the very last moment, seems to have whipped the bails off as Ali just lifts his foot at the last moment. The TV umpire is called in to have a look. First, they have a look at the UltraEdge and there is no bat on this. His foot is grounded too when the bails came off. Safe.

Time to get underway! Mohammad Naim and Najmul Hossain Shanto are the openers for Bangladesh. Mohammad Nawaz is ready to bowl the first over of the match. Here we go...

PITCH REPORT - Athar Ali Khan is down near the pitch and informs that it's a tricky wicket, and 119 is the first innings average score. He concludes by saying that the wicket should play much better today.

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, says that the toss is not in your hand and they will look to pick early wickets and pressurize Bangladesh. Wants to win this match and carry that momentum into the Test series. Feels that the pitch is a bit challenging to bat on and they would look to assess the conditions and play accordingly. Informs that they have made four changes to their last XI - Sarfaraz Ahmed, Iftikhar Ahmed, Usman Qadir and Shahnawaz Dahani replace Fakhar Zaman, Shoaib Malik, Shadab Khan and Shaheen Afridi.

Mahmudullah, the Bangladesh skipper, says that they will bat first again. Says that they didn't make the partnership that they wanted and if they can do those things, then they can get 140-plus on this wicket. Tells that the top and the middle order need to put up a good show. Informs that they have three changes to their side as Saif Hassan, Mustafizur Rahman, and Shoriful Islam miss out and Shamim Hossain, Shohidul Islam (debut), and Nasum Ahmed come in.

Mohammad Rizwan comes up for a quick chat. Says that getting the chance to open has done wonders to him and his career. Tells that he keeps things simple and thanks the support staff. Adds that they have been playing in different conditions and in Bangladesh also, it's a bit tricky. States that they assess the conditions and try their best, sometimes you succeed and sometimes you don't. Talks about his illness during the T20 World Cup and thanks the Almighty and his family for all the prayers.

Pakistan (Playing XI) - Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam (C), Haider Ali, Sarfaraz Ahmed (WK) (In for Fakhar Zaman), Khushdil Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed (In for Shoaib Malik), Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim, Haris Rauf, Shahnawaz Dahani (On debut) (In for Shaheen Afridi), Usman Qadir (In for Shadab Khan).

Bangladesh (Playing XI) - Mohammad Naim, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shamim Hossain (In place of Saif Hassan), Afif Hossain, Mahmudullah (C), Nurul Hasan (WK), Mahedi Hasan, Aminul Islam, Shohidul Islam (On debut) (In for Mustafizur Rahman), Taskin Ahmed, Nasum Ahmed (In for Shoriful Islam).

TOSS - Up goes the coin and it lands in favour of the home team once again. Mahmudullah sticks to the template and BANGLADESH WILL BAT FIRST.

Update - Pacer Kamrul Islam Rabbi and batter Parvez Hossain Emon are the two new players Bangladesh have added to their squad ahead of the third T20I of this series. Also, there is an update from the Pakistan camp - Shahnawaz Dahani is all set to make his T20I debut.

Pakistan were one of the dominant teams in the Super 12 stage of the recently concluded T20 World Cup and they have continued their dominance in this T20I series too. The bowling has been top-notch in both games with all bowlers chipping in with wickets. The young Mohammad Wasim has also lived up to his billing and provides an extra option to Pakistan for the future. Their batting, on the other hand, was tested in the first game with their prolific openers departing early but the lower middle order showed great application to take them over the finish line. In the second game, though, Pakistan's batting was more clinical with Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Rizwan putting up a solid partnership and eventually winning the game with 8 wickets. With the series already done and dusted, Pakistan are in with a chance to whitewash Bangladesh on their home turf. Can they continue their dominance?

After the two games, the Tigers would know how important Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, and Mushfiqur Rahim are to Bangladesh cricket. The hosts have struggled to get runs at the top, the openers, Mohammad Naim and Saif Hassan have managed to put only 4 runs together in two matches and failed to give them the desired start. The Bangladesh seamers have done an impressive job, they have managed to dismiss Babar Azam early in both matches, something we don't see this happening that often, do we? However, they will be hoping to continue the same with the ball and keep the Pakistan skipper silent in the final game as well. Having said that, the Bangladesh batters need to put on a better show for them if they want to end the series with a win.

Hello and a warm welcome to the coverage of the 3rd and the final T20I of this series. With both the T20I matches going Pakistan's way, they have already clinched the series but will be eyeing a complete whitewash. Bangladesh though will be hoping to end the series on a high and give the home crowd something to smile about in this dead rubber. The two games we witnessed have not been easy wins for the visitors, as they fought till the very end. We can expect the final game to be on a similar track. It might not be a game with high scores, but a thrilling contest is surely coming your way!

... MATCH DAY ...
