So, that is it from this game! Yet another thriller of a match! The Indian T20 League action continues on Wednesday as two teams in desperate need of a win clash, it is Kolkata against Delhi. That game begins at 1930 IST (1400 GMT) but as usual the build up will begin much earlier. Till then, take care and goodbye!

Ahhh... a bittersweet moment for this bloke. Bowled with venom, but still it was not enough for his side. How often have we seen this? Not much, right? UMRAN MALIK HAS BEEN AWARDED THE MAN OF THE MATCH FOR HIS BRILLIANT 5-FER. Malik says that he just planned to bowl it well on good lengths, a bouncer to Pandya and then a yorker to Saha. Mentions that the boundaries were short and the idea was to keep it on the stumps, unfortunately, it didn't work out for his team but that happens. On being asked about clocking 155 kph, he says that someday it might happen but he just wants to concentrate on bowling well.

Gujarat skipper, Hardik Pandya says that he keeps on joking in the dressing room that God is helping them but is very happy with the performance. Mentions that the players are given the freedom to express themselves and the pressure is taken on by the support staff. He adds that he is waiting for the right time to get back into his bowling stride but will bowl only when the team requires it. About Wriddhiman Saha, he says that he is very happy and the start provided by Saha and Gill was great for them. Mentions that the players have a lot of self-belief and they keep it chilled out in the dressing room and the credit goes to the support staff for this.

Man of the moment, Rashid Khan is down for a quick chat. Rashid says he believed in his batting which he has been working on and when they needed 22 and they backed themselves and he told Rahul Tewatia not to panic and get as close as possible and they just needed to stay there and keep their shape and got the 4 sixes. Mentions he has not bowled as well as he could and on such wickets, you can't miss your line and length but it was a good wicket and he will try and learn from this. Mentions the team is a great one to be a part of and everyone understands things and the coaches have done really well and there is a good atmosphere in the team.

Kane Williamson, the skipper of Hyderabad says it was a superb game, they will take the positives out of this and look forward to the games ahead. Adds Umran Malik was brilliant, he has a lot of pace and the ball can fly anywhere after hitting the bat. Mentions the death bowling has been really good for them but such things happen. Adds Marco Jansen has been really good in the tournament and they will learn from here, they will look forward to the games coming up now.

Well, what can you say about this Gujarat side? For a new franchise to put on performance, after performance of the highest level is no joke. After being asked to chase a stiff target, Wriddhiman Saha gave them a flying start but losing Shubman Gill and skipper Hardik Pandya in a short span of time put them on the back foot. Saha carried on but Malik had other plans and got rid of Saha, Miller and Manohar in no time. But then, it was the man with the golden touch, Rahul Tewatia who kept the match alive and what do we even say about the freakshow in the last over by Rashid Khan. Rashid went for plenty tonight and maybe that is what urged him to go out there and put in more than his hundred percent. Gujarat still have lost just the solo match and are inching closer to a playoffs berth. Stayed tuned for a few interviews.

Hyderabad will feel they have let this one slip and maybe, just maybe the poor bowling display inside the Powerplay dearly cost them tonight. T Natarajan and especially Marco Jansen had a night to forget. Washington Sundar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were economical given the match situation but spare a thought for Umran Malik. The young pacer bowled his heart out and picked up five wickets only to end up on the losing side. A tough pill to swallow this for Hyderabad but they are still having a pretty strong tournament.

Wow! Would you believe that? Rashid Khan goes bang, bang and sends his former franchise into heartbreak! When two in-form teams go head to head, a riveting contest in what we get and boy, it was entertainment galore tonight. Gujarat have come out trumps on the final delivery and they shoot back up to the top of the table.

SIX! OVER THE FENCE! It is Gujarat, it is Gujarat who have yet again smacked a biggie on the last ball to win the game. What a win, what a chase! This time it is not Rahul Tewatia but it is Rashid Khan! A short one and on middle, he pulls, it goes more off the top edge but sails over Umran Malik at fine leg for a biggie. GUJARAT WIN BY 5 WICKETS!

19.56

SIX! Gets it over the fence! 3 needed in one now! All three results possible, a tie, a Gujarat win and a Hyderabad win too. That is some shot, he has really hit that well. This is full and outside off. He smacks it over the cover fence and it goes sailing over the fielder there. Super over anybody? A two here?

19.40

That is a dot! Gold dust at this stage! 9 needed now in 2. A short one and outside off, Rashid may have been expecting a full one. He is late in the slash, he misses and it goes towards the keeper.

19.36

SIX! Rashid smacks it over the fence! That is a powerful hit and now the equation is down to 9 needed in 3. Fuller and outside off, right in the slot. This is heaved over the long on fence for a biggie. Have to say the game is in the balance now.

19.21

Just the one! Goes short this time and on the body, Rashid pulls it behind square on the leg side for one.

19.16

SIX! BANG! That is right in the slog and it is a biggie to begin the last over. 16 needed now in 5 balls. Pressure on Marco Jansen! This is right in the slot. It is full and on middle, Rahul Tewatia sends it sailing over the mid-wicket fence.

Marco Jansen to bowl the final over. Can he defend 21 runs?

Just the single to end! Really good finish! 22 needed then in the last over. A full one outside off, this is jammed through covers for one.

18.56

SIX! BANG! Does find the boundary! 23 needed in 7 now. That is a hit me ball. A full toss on middle, Rahul Tewatia goes down on one knee and sends it sailing over the mid-wicket fence. Rahul has done it before, can he do it again?

18.40

Outstanding stuff! A yorker outside off, not a lot you can do with that. Tewatia swings but misses. He needs to find the boundaries now.

18.31

Malik probably lost it in the lights! This is a full toss on the pads, Rashid scoops it, it goes uppishly towards Malik at fine leg. He runs in but then stops himself. A single.

18.21

Well bowled! Makes the batter hit on the leg side by bowling it full and on middle, it is the longer part. It is hit towards deep mid-wicket for one.

18.14

FOUR! Clears Jansen and yet again, T Natarajan's over begins with a boundary! They need a huge, huge over here! This is full and on off, it is thumped down the ground, over mid off for a boundary.

Yes, he does, just the 12 from it, the run rate needed now is over 15. Rahul Tewatia makes room, he is followed and gets a low full toss, this is hit towards deep mid-wicket for one.

17.51

Shorter and on off, Khan slaps it down to long off for only one. Can Kumar end the over well? This has been a really good one keeping the context of the game in mind.

17.46

SIX! That is brilliant use of the wrists! What a hit! On middle, fuller, this is whipped over the long on fence for a biggie. Welcome biggie. They need one more probably in the next two balls.

17.30

Dots are just gold! Outside off, Khan slashes but misses.

17.22

Really good fielding again! On middle, fuller, this is whipped through mid-wicket. Jansen in the deep, runs to his right, slides and keeps it down to two. Outstanding fielding.

17.12

Really well bowled and well fielded too! A slower one, full and outside off, this is lofted over covers, Markram runs to his left from long off. Two taken.

NOT OUT! That never looked out to be honest! A good use of the review but more importantly, it is a dot. Should have been a single but ends up being a dot! A full delivery, on the pads, Rahul looks to flick but misses, it hits the pad and goes down to fine leg. T Natarajan is the only one appealing. The batters are jogging across for a run but the finger is raised. Tewatia reviews. Replays roll in and they show it has pitched outside leg. So, a really good comeback by T Natarajan after going for a boundary on the very first ball.

16.51

Magical stuff! Another yorker, on middle, Khan jams it down to fine leg and takes one.

16.41

Just the one! Singles won't win Gujarat the game! A low full toss on off, this is hit down to long on for one.

Commentary

It is time for the reply now! The Gujarat openers, Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill walk out. Saha will take strike and he will be facing, Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Can he get the ball to swing? We will find out as he runs in for the first ball.

... THE CHASE ...

Now the target is a really good one! Hyderabad have an excellent bowling attack and they will back themselves to defend this. Gujarat on the other hand, will have to bat really well if they are to chase this down. Can they do so? We will find out.

For Gujarat, Mohammad Shami was really good! He got the key wickets at the start but the bowling in the middle overs was not at its best. The likes of Rashid Khan and Alzarri Joseph leaked quite a few runs. They did manage to pull things back towards the end but the last over from Lockie Ferguson could well be the difference in this game.

The start was not great as they lost Kane Williamson and Rahul Tripathi early but Aiden Markram and Abhishek Sharma played wonderfully. They added close to 100 which laid the platform for the batters coming in. Both scored half tons but Hyderabad lost wickets towards the death and that pegged them back a little but Shashank Singh played brilliantly and gave them a superb finish.

What a finish to the innings! 18 from the last three balls and Hyderabad have got themselves to a brilliant score! Have to say, they will be heavy favorites heading into the second innings, especially with the bowling they have.

SIX! A hat-trick of maximums to end the innings and take a bow, Shashank Singh! This is pitched up, around off and is perfectly in the slot. Singh hangs deep and smokes it over the long off fence for a biggie. 25 runs came off the final over and Hyderabad end with 195/6!

19.56

SIX! Cheeky as you like and Shashank Singh is turning it on tonight. Pacy delivery, it's a full toss on middle stump. Singh just shuffles past the off stump and ramps it over short fine leg. The ball goes all the way for a biggie.

19.46

SIX! The slower ball isn't working for Lockie Ferguson here. This is banged into the deck and around off. The ball sits up nicely and Shashank Singh just pummels it flat and over the mid-wicket fence for a maximum.

19.31

Good alertness shown from the non-striker. Length ball, almost 150 clicks and outside off. Jansen gets it off the inside edge past the stumps and Wriddhiman Saha is able to stop it. Shashank Singh calls Jansen for the run and they make it with easy.

19.20

Good comeback from Ferguson! Full and wide, at 144.4 kph. Jansen is unable to get a bat on it.

19.16

SIX! BOOM! Marco Jansen picks the slower ball and dispatches it a long, long way. This is angled into middle and leg, Jansen makes a bit of room past the leg stump and launches it over the long on fence for a biggie.

18.61

Back of a length, on off and hurrying onto the batter. Jansen lofts it without much timing over mid on and picks up a single.

18.50

A bit of heat now from Alzarri Joseph! Quick bumper this time, at 146.4 kph and over off stump. Marco Jansen tries to dangle his bat at it but is well beaten.

18.41

This is outside off. Singh moves past the off stump and dabs it down towards third man for one.

18.32

Short of a length, on the body. Singh hops and tucks it away behind square on the leg side for a couple of runs.

18.24

FOUR! Wow! What a way to get off the mark from Shashank Singh. Joseph serves it full and outside off, at over 150 clicks. Singh drives through the line and creams it through extra cover for a boundary.

18.1W

OUT! RUN OUT! Top stuff from Alzarri Joseph and Hyderabad are losing their way here! Joseph balls this one on a good length and around the hips. Washington Sundar gets cramped for room and can't get it away. The ball comes off the thigh pads and back onto the deck. The batters scamper through for one but Joseph gets to the ball and hits the bullseye at the bowler's end. The decision is sent upstairs and Sundar is short of his crease. Marco Jansen will be the next batter to come in.

18.11wd

WIDE! This is well down the leg side and Sundar seems to have missed his flick. Wide signalled but Alzarri Joseph is convinced there is a deviation but the umpire isn't interested. The replay confirms that there's nothing on it.

OUT! TAKEN! Huge, huge moment in the innings and this could well make a difference of 15 or so runs. Yash Dayal bowls this one on a length and takes all the pace off the ball. Dayal also pushes it a bit wider and Aiden Markram has to go chasing after it. Markram ends up skying it around the extra cover region. David Miller runs in from the deep and takes a safe catch. Markram departs after a great innings and Gujarat are on top of proceedings here. Shashank Singh comes in to bat now.

17.51

Sundar moves a bit leg side and Dayal follows him with a fuller one. Sundar gets it down to long on for a single.

17.41

Lucky, very lucky. Slower delivery, fuller in length and outside off. Aiden Markram has creamed has the cover drive but Hardik Pandya makes a really good stop at covers to keep it down to just a single.

17.32

Full and wide, punched through extra covers by Markram. Rashid Khan runs around from the cover fence and keeps it down to a couple.

17.21

Full toss but Dayal gets away with it. This is on the pads and Sundar only manages to flick it towards deep square leg for one.

17.11

Nicely bowled. Dayal runs in and delivers a slower ball. This is full and around off. Markram nudges it out on the off side for a quick run.

Pitched up, on off. Markram hammers it down to long off for a run.

16.56

SIX! FIFTY UP! Aiden Markram is going from strength to strength in this year's competition. This is banged in short, on off. Markram takes on the pull shot and seems to have mistimed it a bit. Rashid Khan on the mid-wicket fence starts to come in but the ball flies just over the ropes for a maximum.

16.41

Excellent stop from Yash Dayal. A yorker, close to the off pole and Washington Sundar plays a cheeky shot as he tries to just squeeze it past short third man. Dayal is quick to dive to his left and make the stop. Three runs saved there.

16.3W

OUT! CAUGHT! Cool as you like from Shubman Gill on the fence and Nicholas Pooran has to depart early. Full again from Mohammad Shami, on middle stump. Pooran doesn't quite get under it and ends up flat-batting it down the throat of Gill on the long on fence. Gill makes no mistake and Shami gets his third wicket of the night. Hyderabad losing a bit of momentum here at the moment. Also, Washington Sundar is the new man in.

16.21

A low full toss now, on middle. This is drilled down to long off for just one more.

WIDE! T Natarajan under pressure here! Looks to bowl it well wide outside off. Left alone. Wided.

In the air... safe! On middle, full. Tewatia looks to go over square leg, this is way too full, it goes off the top edge towards deep mid-wicket. Lands short, the fielder misfields, two taken.

OUT! KABOOM! Five for Umran Malik, young man, take a bow! What a beauty of a bowler. He has single-handedly turned the game in Hyderabad's favor. This is full and fast yet again on middle, Manohar looks to defend, this lands and moves away. It goes past the outside edge and hit the off pole. Two wickets in the over and Gujarat now need 56 in the last 4.

Rashid Khan is the new man in. Also, T Natarajan is back into the attack.

On middle, Miller swings across the line but misses it altogether. The middle stump is uprooted. Malik's spell could have well won Hyderabad the game. 57 needed in 25.

15.41

Hyderabad won't mind the singles! On middle, this is worked through square leg for one. Two balls to go, can he get Miller in this over?

15.31

Almost snuck through! On middle, length, Miller looks to flick, he gets an inside edge onto the pads. It rolls towards square leg for one.

15.21

Another single! Length and on off, Tewatia opens the face of the bat and guides it through point for one.

15.11

Direct hit and Miller was probably gone! Length and on off, Miller guides it to point. He takes off. Sharma collects the ball and has a shy at the bowler's end but misses. Miller probably would have made it. Does seem like that.

DRINKS! 61 needed off 30 balls and it's anybody's game from here. One would generally back the batting side though with just 3 batters back in the hut and Gujarat do have a slight edge but Hyderabad do have a potent bowling attack with overs from Umran Malik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan still to come. Exciting last five overs coming up.

This time too, he was hit on the body and caresses the next ball. Length and on off, he shows the full face of the bat and this races through mid off. A boundary to end the over but an amazing one from Malik.

Hardik Pandya seems to be really stung by the delivery from Umran Malik on the right shoulder and the physio rushes out on the field. Pandya sends the physio back and looks good to continue.

7.50

That lands safe! That is a snorter! What a delivery to welcome Pandya. He is in pain but now seems fine. Umran hit him on the helmet in the last game between the two and now on the shoulder. This is shortish, it takes off after landing. Pandya looks to defend but misses, he gets hit on the shoulder. Hardik takes a moment for himself, he now looks charged though, that walk back to the crease had a lot of intent.

It is Gill who was playing second fiddle who is dismissed. Gill looks to press the accelerator. He makes room and Malik bowls this on a length and around off, Gill looks to cut but is beaten for pace and the off pole is knocked back. That is the wicket Hyderabad desperately needed. 127 needed in 74.

7.10

A 143 KPH delivery to begin with! On a length and angled into the pads, Saha looks to flick but misses to get hit on the pads.

DRINKS! What a fabulous start this is with the bat by Gujarat. Wriddhiman Saha has taken the bowling to the cleaners so far and Shubman Gill is stringing along nicely as well. This is a dangerous sign for Hyderabad but there's a lot of cricket to be played and a couple of quick wickets will shoot up the asking rate right where Hyderabad want it to be.

OUT!

Good bumper from Joseph! At around 141 clicks and on leg stump. Nicholas Pooran ducks under it.

DRINKS! Hyderabad have had a stronghold in the middle overs and Abhishek Sharma and Aiden Markram have put them well on course of a score of around 200. The wicket of Sharma though might prove to be very crucial but with Nicholas Pooran to come next, Hyderabad will feel confident. Gujarat will be looking to pick up more wickets and slow down the scoring rate.

OUT! Dragged on! Alzarri Joseph comes back into the attack and gets the vital breakthrough for his team. This is full and on off stump from Joseph but at just 125.6 kph. Abhishek Sharma looks to take it and on goes for the booming cover drive. Sharma is undone by the lack of pace and the ball goes off the inside edge back on to hit the middle stump. Sharma has to depart after a brilliant innings and Gujarat have a bit of respite.

OUT! THREE REDS AND SHAMI GETS HIS REVENGE! The big wicket of Rahul has been taken! Shami has another and he will be really pleased. The inswinger does the trick again. This lands around middle and off, it jags back in. Rahul looks to defend but misses and gets hit on the pad. A huge appeal but it's turned down. Shami wants it to be reviewed and it is. Replays show that the ball passes close to the bat but no bat is involved. The Ball Tracking shows three reds. End of an action-packed over.

We are ready for play! The two umpires stride out to the middle, followed by the players from Gujarat. Hyderabad openers Abhishek Sharma and Kane Williamson walk out to bat for the first time in this stadium this season. Mohammad Shami has the new ball in hand and is raring to go. Let's play...

Nicholas Pooran is up for a quick chat. Pooran says that his current form is due to him knowing exactly what the team needs from him. About Aiden Markram, he says that they have played together for Punjab as well and reckons Markram is a hard worker and is happy that both he and Markram are able to do well. Pooran then talks about the hierarchy in the batting order and there is a set role for everyone in the team which helps. He adds that he wants to stay in the present and do whatever the team requires from him.

Kane Williamson, the captain of Hyderabad, says they have enjoyed chasing but they knew there will come a time when they’ll have to chase and they are looking forward to it. Informs about one change as Washington Sundar comes in for Jagadeesha Suchith. Adds Umran is keen to go and he is fit and ready.

Gujarat skipper, Hardik Pandya says they are not sure why they will be bowling, they have done well batting first and bowling first. Mentions the wicket here does play a few tricks at the start and they are hoping to make use of it. Mentions with the lineup they have, it will be better to bat second. Informs they are playing the same team. Ends by saying if needed he will bowl.

Hyderabad (Playing XI) - Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson (C), Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran (WK), Washington Sundar (In for Jagadeesha Suchith), Shashank Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen, T Natarajan and Umran Malik.

Gujarat (Unchanged XI) - Wriddhiman Saha (WK), Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya (C), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Abhinav Manohar, Lockie Ferguson, Alzarri Joseph, Yash Dayal and Mohammad Shami.

TOSS - It's time for the toss and it is won by Gujarat. They will have a BOWL first.

PITCH REPORT - Matthew Hayden is pitchside. Haydos says that the square boundaries are 62 meters and 67 meters with the straight boundary being over 70 meters. He adds that the wicket is quite dry but is very, very hard. Mentions that the totals in the last few matches here haven't been high which might be a sign to bat first.

Gujarat have lost just the one game so far and that was against Hyderabad earlier on in the tournament. Since then, they are on a three-game winning run and will be looking to make it 4 today. Hyderabad on the other hand, have been unbeatable. After losing two to begin the tournament, they now have won 5 in a row and will look to make it 6. Two sides with excellent bowling attacks, this is promising to be a cracker.

The Indian T20 League is moving along quickly as we head into game 40. It is a clash between two sides, Gujarat and Hyderabad, who have done exceedingly well so far. Just the two points separate these two and they sit in the 2nd and 3rd position respectively. The side which wins the game tonight has a chance to go on top. Who will come out on top?
