Commentary

So, the series started with an unexpected win for the home team but the favourites, Pakistan unsurprisingly won the final two games to win the series comfortably. That is all from this game and the series. Hope you enjoyed the coverage. It's goodbye and cheers from our side.

Babar Azam says the Irish batters were batting brilliantly in the first half but his bowlers put pressure by taking few wickets. Adds they tried to entertain the crowd who were here to show some support. Tells he and Mohammad Rizwan have played a lot of cricket and were playing to their strength. They targeted a couple of bowlers and talked about run-rate. Mentions they are looking forward to the future games and execute the plans there.

Lorcan Tucker says it was a privilege to lead the team. Shares the platform was set for a big score but unfortunately it didn't come off. Tells the bowlers bowled in tough conditions and is happy with how they bowled. Mentions the results didn't go their way but happy with the intent the team showed.

Shaheen Afridi wins the Player of the Match award. He says the bowlers tried to hit good lines and lengths. Adds in the last two games they bowled on a fuller-length and they have an experienced bowling attack who guides each other. Tells it is important to get the team ready before the World Cup. Shares Azam and Rizwan are world class player and happy that they did the job.

...Presentation...

As told earlier, Ireland were well below the par score. Earlier they completely lost the momentum once Lorcan Tucker fell. However, they were in a good position before that scoring 10 an over or so but couldn't finish the innings they would have hoped for. The Irish bowlers tried their best but they never looked like could turn the tides in their favour. An easy and comfortable couple of games for Pakistan to seal the series.

It was not a big surprise to see Pakistan cruise through so comfortably. Ireland were well under-par on this kind of pitch and Pakistan made a mockery of the chase. They lost Saim Ayub early on but the two pillars of Pakistan cricket, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan stitched a stand of 139 runs to seal the game. The latter was the aggressor early on but Babar Azam too joined him. Both hit few lusty blows and scored fifties respectively. They both fell but till then the job was well and truly done.

Commentary

We are back. The players are out in the middle. The Pakistani openers are yet to come out as we see the Irish team all in place. Now they arrive. Saim Ayub and Mohammad Rizwan to open.

...THE CHASE...

Ireland will be disappointed. They look 15 if not 25 runs short on a flat pitch. They were on course though for a score above 200. The way Andy Balbirnie and Lorcan Tucker were playing, it looked like Ireland will achieve their desired target but the wicket of skipper tilted things around in favour of the tourist who then didn't allow the home team to skyrocket any big overs in the fag end. Ireland still have enough runs on the board but they'll have to bowl exceptionally well to get a result.

A brilliant bowling performance by Pakistan and they'll be the happier team at the break. Pakistan opted to bowl first and it was a decent bowling performance until the halfway mark. They were conceding at 10 runs per over but we feel Imad Wasim's spell changed the course of the game. He took the big wicket of Lorcan Tucker who was smashing all around and since then it was hard for Ireland to slog in the main overs. The final 6-7 overs were just brilliant from Pakistan. Shaheen Afridi though was the pick as he finished with three wickets.

TOSS - Pakistan have won the toss and will BOWL.

Hello and welcome to the third and final T20I between Ireland and Pakistan. After pulsating two games, it is time for the teams to fight for the ultimate game and clinch the series. Pakistan came into this game as the favourites but fumbled upon on a flat track as they lost the opener shockingly. However, unsurprisingly, they did come back strong to chase down a total close to 200 with ease. Ireland as a home team knows the conditions well and are expected to go head-to-head in the final game. Interestingly, the chasing team has won both games so that makes the toss even more crucial. Who are you supporting?

...MATCH DAY...

In the crucial decider of this 3-match T20 series between Ireland and Pakistan, it's all square at 1-1. Ireland owned the first game, but Pakistan came back strong and snagged the second one. Both matches have seen some big scores, and interestingly, the team batting second has emerged victorious both times. Despite Pakistan's strong performance in the second game, Ireland put up a commendable fight, showcasing great character as various players stepped up to contribute to the home team. From Andy Balbirnie's determined innings in the opener to Lorcan Tucker's stellar fifty in the second match, the Irish batters have displayed grit and determination. With crucial cameos down the order from players like Harry Tector, Curtis Campher, and Gareth Delany, the Irish team has managed to strike a good balance. The skipper, Paul Stirling, will be keen to make his mark and contribute more with the bat after two disappointing outings. However, in the bowling department, there needs to be a lot of improvement. Despite setting a formidable total of 193 runs on the board, Ireland struggled to pick up timely wickets. Bowlers like Graham Hume, Mark Adair, Craig Young, and Ben White will need to step up their game to address this issue. On the flip side, while Pakistan displayed some signs of improvement, they still have areas to work on, particularly in the fielding department. Babar Azam came back strongly and notched up a brilliant half-century in the first game but had a disappointing outing as he walked out on a duck in the previous game. Although Mohammad Rizwan rescued Pakistan with a formidable 75 with Fakhar Zaman too, responsibly adding his valuable contribution with the bat that cruised Pakistan to the win. They possess a robust middle order, with Iftikhar Ahmed standing out for his ability to deliver clutch finishes and boost the scoring rate in the backend. Mohammad Amir was swapped in for Shadab Khan, didn't quite live up to expectations in the previous match, and would aim to be more economical. Shaheen Afridi too, has been a bit pricey in this series but has taken wickets to his name. Abbas Afridi has impressed with the ball and he leads the wicket-taking charts for the series thus far. With Ireland, fueled by the support of the home crowd, eager to shake up Pakistan and clinch the series, their victory would undoubtedly boost their drive for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, Pakistan aims to maintain the momentum from the second match, albeit with improvements in certain areas. It is surely going to be a humdinger of a series decider. Who do you think has an edge?
