Right then! That's all from this game! Rajasthan are alive in the tournament while Chennai suffer their first loss in the UAE leg. Sunday brings us another double-header and it will start with the clash between Bangalore and Punjab at 2 pm local (10 am GMT). It will be followed with the clash between Kolkata and Hyderabad which will begin at 6 pm local (2 pm GMT). Do join us then. Cheers and take care.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, the Man of the Match, says that to start off, it was a slow wicket and a little damp but it got better and it was important for one batsman to stay till the end. Goes onto say that he is just working on timing the ball really well and maintaining his shape. Says that right from starting playing cricket, he has come across many coaches who has told him that he has good timing. Says that he thinks he would say his selection in the Chennai team in 2019 was really helpful and he got to learn a lot and it was one thing that really helped him. States that it was a dream to score a century and his aim was to get to a total around 170. Says that he likes being the highest run-scorer but it would have been better if the team had won.

Sanju Samson, the winning skipper, says that they are aware of their batting line-up and it is really strong. Tells that they have players who can win games single-handedly. States that he is happy that he guessed it right at the toss. States that the openers have been giving them good starts but the middle order was struggling. Says that Jaiswal will make it big and he hits it big. Goes onto say that they have been discussing about Shivam Dube and they felt that it might be Dube's day and he is very happy for Dube. Says that Gaikwad batted really and he played cricketing shots. Says that Gaikwad scored a fine century. Tells that they are not thinking too far ahead.

Shivam Dube is up for a quick chat. He says that they had a good start and he just had to go with a good strike rate. Tells that the coach told him to go with a higher strike rate and he thanks him for that. Adds that he needs to try and hit the ball well and hopes he continues to help his team. Tells that the pitch was a bit sticky in the first innings and after that, it was perfect to bat on. Says that the team is high on confidence right now.

MS Dhoni, the losing skipper is up for a chat. Says that it was a bad toss to lose. Says their batters played really well and they had a good start in the Powerplay. Adds that their thought was to take the game till the end but they played really well. Adds that their spinners bowled well. Appreciates the knock of Gaikwad and says sometimes this type of knock goes under the carpet when your team loses. Adds that they assessed quickly and batted accordingly. Adds that the wicket changed in the second innings and their batters went for a big shot from starting. Adds that in a tournament like this you have to forget this type of game but also learn from it.

Earlier in the game, Ruturaj Gaikwad's century helped Chennai reach 189. He was superb as he started slowly and just when it was time to attack, he upped the ante. He was well supported by Faf du Plessis, Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadeja. Rajasthan had a tough game with the ball but they made it up with the bat as they chased down the target. Stay tuned for the presentation ceremony!!!

Chennai's bowling did not turn up in this game! They were taken apart by the Rajasthan batsmen and they need to bounce back in the next game. Deepak Chahar was sorely missed. Josh Hazlewood took a beating while Sam Curran too did not have a good game. The spinners bowled a few overs and in whatever they bowled, they were taken apart. Shardul Thakur was the only one who had decent figures. Overall, it was a performance to forget for Chennai with the ball.

Rajasthan started off with a bang! Yashasvi Jaiswal came out like a man on a mission and scored a fifty in just 19 balls. Evin Lewis too showed that he can hit a long ball and Rajasthan reached over 70 inside 5 overs. They lost Lewis and Jaiswal but Dube continued the good work as he kept the attack going. Samson played the role of an anchor to perfection. Samson fell but the job was done by then as Phillips too had his share of fun. In the end, they chased down the total comfortably and have also improved their net run rate.

This has been a chase of the ages from Rajasthan! Spare a thought for Ruturaj Gaikwad! He played a scintillating knock but was outdone by some outrageous hitting from Rajasthan and Rajasthan stay alive in the tournament. Chennai lose their first game in the second leg and this was a hammering.

Commentary

We are back for the run chase! The Chennai players make their way out to the middle, followed by Yashasvi Jaiswal and Evin Lewis. Sam Curran will start with the ball.

.... THE RUN CHASE ...

Ruturaj Gaikwad is there for a chat. He says that the wicket was holding a bit initially and they started really well. Adds that his plan was to bat till the 13th over. Goes onto say that he looks to time the ball and looks to clear the boundary. Tells that at the end of the day, the team score matters and individual score does not matter a lot unless it helps the team. States that he timed the ball really well and he knew he hit a six on the last ball. States that they need to bowl well and execute their plans.

Right then! Rajasthan's batters have their task cut out as they have to get 190 runs from 20 overs! Chennai would be confident going into the chase as they have enough runs on the board to defend. Rajasthan will give it their all as this is a must-win game for them!

Rajasthan did start well with the ball and at the halfway mark they would have been the more happier side. Rahul Tewatia bowled really well and picked up crucial wickets of Faf du Plessis, Suresh Raina and Moeen Ali. But the other bowlers went for plenty of runs and were not able to stop Rututaj Gaikwad's juggernaut. Chetan Sakariya also got into the wickets column but the damage had already been done. All in all, it was not the best of bowling performances from Rajasthan and their bowling at the death was too predictable.

Chennai would be pretty happy with the total they have posted on the board. Chennai's openers, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis started steadily and got their team to a decent start. They lost couple of wickets in quick succession but Gaikwad went along his merry way and held one end nicely. Moeen Ali came in at number 4 and he too scored some crucial runs in the middle overs before getting out. Gaikwad changed gears once Moeen Ali departed and he played some incredible strokes to which Rajasthan bowlers had no answers to. Jadeja came later in the innings and he too hit a few lusty blows to take Chennai to a massive total. But it was all about Ruturaj Gaikwad who hit a six off the last ball of the innings and got to his hundred in some style.

This has been a brilliant batting effort from Chennai after having put into bat first, led by their classy, young batter in Ruturaj Gaikwad. He has been simply brilliant for Chennai in this season and this time he has made sure to convert his start into a hundred. Rajasthan would be a touch disappointed as they have leaked few runs at the fag end of the innings.

Sanju Samson, the skipper of Rajasthan, says that they will bowl first. Adds that it is easier to chase and they need to show character in this game. States that they would like to put in great performances. Informs that they have made 5 changes.

MS Dhoni, the skipper of Chennai, says that they would have liked to bowl. Adds that he thinks that they are one side that gives players many chances and in this game also, they have not made many changes. Informs that Sam Curran comes in for Dwayne Bravo and KM Asif for Deepak Chahar. Adds that it is important to keep the players fresh. States that the weather will keep improving from here.

Chennai (Playing XI) - Ruturaj Gaikwad, Faf du Plessis, Moeen Ali, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran (In for Dwayne Bravo), Shardul Thakur, KM Asif (In for Deepak Chahar), Josh Hazlewood.

Rajasthan (Playing XI) - Evin Lewis, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (C & WK), Shivam Dube (In for Mahipal Lomror), Glenn Phillips (In for Liam Livingstone), David Miller (In for Chris Morris), Rahul Tewatia, Akash Singh (In for Karthik Tyagi), Mayank Markande (In for Riyan Parag), Chetan Sakariya, Mustafizur Rahman.

TOSS UPDATE - Rajasthan have won the toss and they have elected to BOWL first.

What about Chennai? They have already won 9 games and look like a team which is unbeatable so far. They now have a chance to rest some of their key players as they have already qualified for the playoffs and looks like they will finish in the top 2 as well. Suresh Raina has been out of form for them this season but their coach Stephen Fleming has thrown his support behind the left-hander and he expects him to come strong sooner than later. What will be the team changes? We will find out.

Sanju Samson needs some support from his batters. He has fought a lone battle with the bat, performing almost every match but he has received basically no support. Jaiswal and Lewis have looked good in patches but the likes of Liam Livingstone, Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia have failed to get going. They might think of bringing in Glenn Phillips or David Miller in place of Livingstone who has faltered so far. Even Chris Morris has had a tough time in the UAE leg so far and Rajasthan need them to fire as soon as possible.

Hello and a warm welcome to match 47 of the Indian T20 League! It is the clash between Chennai and Rajasthan. While Chennai have already qualified for the playoffs, Rajasthan are hanging by a thin thread. They need to win their remaining games in order to have a chance of qualifying and they also need other results to go their way. They have struggled with the bat this season and that is one thing they would need to rectify. It won't come easy against Chennai who are on a roll this season, having already won 9 games and look set for a finish in the top 2. What will happen here? We will find out.
