Right then. That’s it from this contest. The action from the Indian T20 League continues on 27th April, where Gujarat will take on Hyderabad. The first ball will be bowled at 7:30 pm IST (2:00 pm GMT). But as you all know, you can join us in advance for the build-up. Till then, take care and goodbye!

Riyan Parag is the Player of the Match for his half-century and for his outstanding show on the field as well. He says that he is satisfied after his innings as the staff is backing him and he is paying it back. Adds that he loves pressure and it just gives him a chance to showcase his abilities. Tells that he had a chat with Sangakkara and they felt 140 was defendable. On his catches, he says that practicing has helped him to stay calm and take those catches with ease.

Sanju Samson the skipper of Rajasthan says that it's a really great win, after their 15 overs, Riyan Parag did well to guide them to a good total. Says that they have always backed Riyan and it was good for him to show the world his explosive batting. Mentions that they were 10-15 runs short, and he thinks 150/160 was a good score, and it was a two-paced wicket and there was no dew as well. Adds that they always knew they had batting till the end and they were waiting for something like this for the middle-order to step up. Says that the teams that are chasing 200 runs they come out with only one gear, but then when they are chasing a below-par total it's all about putting pressure. Concludes by saying that the entire is team understanding and they are getting along well.

Stay tuned for the presentation...

Kuldeep Sen is up for a chat. He says that he fell down in the nets and due to that, he missed out in between. Adds that he was watching the first innings and he saw the ball was gripping and Samson told him to bowl with variations. Tells that the chat was just to bowl on a good length.

Faf du Plessis, the skipper of Bangalore, says it is a similar pitch as the last game, with inconsistent bounce. Says 130 was a par score but dropped catches made it difficult. Adds that the basics of cricket weren't there, the top 4 need to bat throughout but they failed. On Virat Kohli opening, he says that they discussed it before the match and great players go through this type of phase and they know, he is a fantastic cricketer and he hopes he gets his confidence soon.

Rajasthan loves batting first it seems! Losing the toss is surely a blessing in disguise for Rajasthan! This is now the third consecutive game that they have successfully defended. They had over 200 runs on the board in the previous two games, but this time they had just over 140 runs. It's been an exceptional bowling performance from Rajasthan! It all started with Prasidh Krishna grabbing the wicket of Kohli and then Kuldeep Sen following up with back-to-back wickets and from there on it was all going down hill for Bangalore. Rajasthan did well to pick up wickets at regular intervals and with that, they kept mounting the pressure on the opposition. Ravichandran Ashwin grabbed 3 wickets in his spell, while Kuldeep Sen ended with 4 wickets by his name. Rajasthan have won this royal affair and have moved to the top of the table.

Bangalore did make a change at the top-order and they got Virat Kohli to open the batting. But that did not work in their favour. They lost 4 wickets in the first ten overs for just 58 runs! Shahbaz Ahmed and Wanindu Hasaranga did play a few lusty blows and might have given a slight ray of hope to Bangalore but they perished and could not carry on till the end. Riyan Parag went on to score over 20 runs after he was dropped in the penultimate over in the first innings and that probably has made the difference here. A tough loss for Bangalore in the end.

A comfortable victory for Rajasthan! Yes, you read that right! Rajasthan have defended the lowest total of this season and have come out on top comfortably. Batting woes for Bangalore continue and they have now lost two games in a row, while Rajasthan have won their third consecutive game and have moved to the top of the table!

Commentary

We are back for the chase. The players are out in the middle. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis are the openers for Bangalore. Trent Boult to start with the ball.

... The Chase ...

Right then! Not a big score and you expect Bangalore to chase this down but Rajasthan will be aware that Bangalore have a fragile batting lineup while Rajasthan contrastingly have one of the best bowling line up. A cracking chase coming up.

Mohammed Siraj is up for a chat. He says that he tried to swing the ball on the first ball, but Devdutt Padikkal played a very good shot. But he still stuck to his plans and got his wicket eventually. Mentions that Josh Hazlewood has good height and he gets extra bounce cause of it and together they decided to keep it back of a length only. Adds that it's not easy to hit a short ball, and they stuck to their plans. Informs that till now there has been no dew.

Bangalore will be really happy with the performance. From the start, the bowlers bowled with the plan and they got wickets at regular intervals. They dropped a few catches but other than that, there were brilliant on the field. The last over went for runs but overall it was a solid performance from them. Siraj, Hasaranga, and Hazlewood were the pick of the bowlers, picking two wickets each.

Excellent innings from Riyan Parag. It was his late carnage that helped Rajasthan cross the 140 mark. Rajasthan's innings never flowed freely. They were 33 for 3 including the big wicket of Buttler. Samson showed positive signs but he too after getting a good start perished. There was a stand forming between Mitchell and Parag but at a walking pace. Once, Daryl Mitchell fell, it was Parag's inning that helped Rajasthan to put in a respectable total.

We are ready for action! The umpires are out in the middle. Bangalore players are seen in a huddle before they take their positions on the field. Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal will open the batting for Rajasthan. Shahbaz Ahmed will begin the proceedings with the ball. Here we go...

Mike Hesson is down for a chat. He says that they moved quickly from the previous games, it's one of those games where they don't analyze much and just move on. Mentions that he is pretty pleased with their overall performances and they have had highs and lows so far, but it's about being more consistent. Mentions that when they have discussions they do not discuss the forms of players and Virat has plenty of experiences and a good game is just around the corner for him.

Sanju Samson, the skipper of Rajasthan, says they would've liked to bowl first as looking at the conditions but they are happy to bat first and hope to do the job. Says Buttler is helping the team and youngsters and he has been incredible so far. Informs there are two changes. Mentions their aim is to put the best foot forward and he feels they have done a good job so far.

Faf du Plessis, the skipper of Bangalore, says that they are going to bowl first, they are looking to exploit it. Mentions that this is a competition of many games, it does not matter whether they win by many runs or lose by many runs, they should just have to get to the play-off. Adds that they have one change Rajat Patidar comes in for Anuj Rawat which means Virat Kohli will open the innings. Concludes by saying that it's a new day and a new game and they want to do well.

Rajasthan (Playing XI) - Jos Buttler, Daryl Mitchell (In for Karun Nair), Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson (C/WK), Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Trent Boult, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Sen (In for Obed McCoy), Prasidh Krishna, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Bangalore (Playing XI) - Faf du Plessis (C), Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar (In for Anuj Rawat), Glenn Maxwell, Suyash Prabhudessai, Shahbaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik (WK), Harshal Patel, Wanindu Hasaranga, Josh Hazlewood, Mohammed Siraj.

TOSS - Bangalore have won the toss and they have elected to BOWL first!

PITCH REPORT - Deep Dasgupta is down near the pitch. He says that this is the pitch that was used where Kolkata had chased down 160 when Pat Cummins played that blinder of an innings. Adds that it looks quite green and seamers might get help, but it's abrasive under the grass which means that it could grip and it's a two-paced wicket. Traditionally it's been a chasing ground.

Honestly, Rajasthan have been the most prolific team around this season, with the top scorer, Jos Buttler, and the highest wicket-taker, Yuzvendra Chahal in them. They do look like a solid team and will fancy a win here against Bangalore who were demolished by Hyderabad in their last match. They will be itching to bounce back with a solid performance and will hope that Virat Kohli breaks the shackles and find some form. If you look at the last few battles between these two, it is Bangalore who dominates the chart. This one promises to be an exciting match. Stay tuned for the toss and other updates.

Hello and a warm welcome to the coverage of match number 39 where Bangalore will meet Rajasthan. The last time these two met earlier, it was the team from South who won the clash. Will they do the double or Rajasthan will take the revenge? We will find out.
