Alex Carey has now been presented the trophy and he along with his teammates can now celebrate! That is it from our end for this series. We hope you enjoyed our coverage, please do join us for the games which are going to be played ahead. Till then, goodbye and take care!

Alex Carey says the commitment the group has shown is really good, the T20 series did not go their way but he is pleased with this performance. States it is very exciting to captain your country and it was a good team effort, the chase was a little bit ugly but on such a wicket it is fine and he is happy they bounced back strongly. Mentions the bowlers work really hard, they know their skills and it is good to have them in the side. Ends by saying, he has a lot of support throughout this series and he is very pleased with a series win.

Mitchell Starc, Man of the Series, says there have been plenty of ups and downs and he feels bowling is their strength as there is experience but the batting learned from the last game and did well. Adds it helps with Josh Hazlewood bowling from the other end, who is excellent and the spinners too are really good. Also says it is nice to do it against the Windies in Windies and he is pleased to contribute.

Kieron Pollard says they did not bat well, they did the hard work initially but then later on lost too many wickets, 153 was never going to be enough. States it has been challenging for them, they have not batted well in this series, both teams struggled on this wicket which was not a good pitch. Adds Akeal Hosein delivered, Hayden Walsh and Alzarri Joseph were also good. Ends by saying the Aussies were better and he hopes to concentrate on the games coming ahead

Ashton Agar, Man of the Match, says he always tries to do something special but it was an honor to give his brother the cap and he loves him. Mentions it was good conditions for the spinners and it was all about hitting the right lines and lengths. States it is always good to do it in a decider and he really wanted to win and he feels great. Ends by saying it is very special, the conditions were not easy, you do not get a lot of pitches like that and he hopes they get more such pitches.

Stay tuned for the Presentation...

The Windies' bowling wasn’t that bad. Akeal Hosein was once again impressive, Hayden Walsh also had a decent outing. However, the pacers conceded far too many runs and that too quickly which just took the game away from them. Also, that drop of Alex Carey quite early in his innings also cost them. However, their batters let them down, they just did not have enough runs on the board.

After their bowlers with a combined effort, restricted the Windies to a low total, it was just about batting smart and that is what a few of their batsmen did. Yes, they did lose wickets at regular intervals but Alex Carey, Matthew Wade and Ashton Agar really played spin well and took their side over the line. The plan to keep sending left-handers when the spinners were bowling turned out to be a master stroke.

A very comfortable chase in the end for the Aussies and with that effort, they have not only won the game but also the series.

Commentary

The total is not a big one but the pitch is a difficult one. However, Australia should chase this down but if the Windies bowlers manage to hit their lengths right from the word go, we can well be in for a good second half. Wickets is what they need and it will be interesting to see if they do get it early. Stay tuned for the second essay.

The Aussies bowlers were on point. It was a combined effort from them. All the 5 who bowled got a wicket at least to his name. Carey too was excellent, he got the field placement right and also the changes. Starc was probably the pick with a three-fer but you can't just pick one, every bowler played their part.

End of a poor batting display by the hosts! The decision to actually bat first has not been the good one. They though got off to a decent start but it all went downward for them after Lewis went back retired hurt. They kept losing wickets and at one stage were reeling at 75 for 6. Lewis though, who resumed his innings, along with the lower-order has done well to give his sides' total some respectability.

45.1W

OUT! GOT HIM! Starc gets his third and the final wicket! Comes over the wicket and bowls a pacy full toss angling around off. Cottrell is too early for his push and the ball hits the stump. The off pole goes cart-wheeling behind. West Indies end at 152.

A full toss on middle, it is heaved over the long on fence for a biggie. 150 is also up for the hosts.

13.51wd

WIDE! Another sharp bouncer outside off. Left alone. Wided.

13.51wd

WIDE! A pacy short ball on middle. Wade ducks under it. Wide given for height.

DRINKS! Windies just about in this game! They had to break this stand which was taking the game away from them quickly and they have done so. However, they need to keep taking wickets. Can this wicket now open the floodgates? Australia on the other hand, know that they need another one partnership like that and they will win it. An important passage of play awaits. Meanwhile, Matthew Wade is the new man in.

13.4W

OUT! GLOVED AND TAKEN! What was turning out to be a disastrous plan has worked out in the end. Yes, the short ball ploy has gone for plenty of runs but it has got the wicket they wanted. Australia still need 88 runs. This is short and on the body, Marsh looks to pull, it goes off the glove and the keeper leaps to his left and takes it.

13.34

Heriques misreads the length and goes back to a delivery he should be playing ahead to. Misses and gets hit on the pads. The Windies are once again already celebrating as they appeal and the finger is raised immediately. Perfect start for the hosts. Also, this is the third time in this series AK has got MH.

2.10

NOT OUT! No bat on it! Henriques survives! This is fired into the pads, Henriques tries to flick, there are two noises as the ball lobs to Pollard at short leg who takes it. He is celebrating but the umpire is not sure. He has a chat with the other umpire and then takes it upstairs with the soft signal being out. He probably feels there is an inside edge but want to check if it is a bump ball. Replays show that the bat had hit the pad.

Straightaway Hosein causes problems! An appeal for a catch at short leg. The umpires get together to have a word. They want to check if it is a bump ball and they take it upstairs. SOFT SIGNAL IS OUT!

Akeal Hosein is on! Spin introduced early and rightly so. We all believe if Windies are to win, the spinners have to do majority of the work.

DRINKS!! The Windies have done well in the last 30 minutes or so, it is still Australia who are on top at the moment but the hosts are trying to get to a good score. Joseph and Lewis are amidst a good stand but they need to keep going, atl east for another 8 to 10 overs. Australia know they will have to make quick work of the remaining wickets as chasing anything over 200 is not going to be easy. An important passage awaits.

Alzarri Joseph is the new man in. Also, we did ask you if it was going to be the Hales show and guess what? IT WAS! Well, it was not exactly the Hales type of innings we are accustomed to but surely one he will cherish as he took his side over the line in a complete humdinger of a game.

We did feel this could be a good move and it does turn out to be a brilliant one. This is full and it is a cross-seam delivery which can be very effective on this surface and it is here. Pollard looks to drive but his mistake was he looked to drive on the up which is not a good idea on a wicket which is holding. It does stick in the surface, Pollard is through the shot, it goes uppishly to covers. Windies have half the side back in the hut now.

WIDE! Starts with a wayward delivery way down the leg side. Left alone. Wided. West Indies are off the mark.

We are all set for the action to begin! The Australian players make their way out to the middle. Now, the Windies openers, Shai Hope and Evin Lewis also stride out. Mitchell Starc has the first new ball in hand. Here we go...

Alex Carey says that it is a series final and we are excited. Says that the T20s didn't go very well but they are looking forward to this game. Informs they have quite a few changes.

Kieron Pollard says that the sun is out and also because of the nature of the wicket he wants to bat first. Informs the change that Jason Mohamood is out. Says that they all have roles and responsibilities and if he needs to bowl for the team he is ready. Says that playing cricket is an opportunity, we will come out and win and all achievements will come with it.

So the Windies have just the one change! Jason Mohammed makes way for Hetmyer! Australia do have a few changes, Hazlewood comes back in for Meredith! Agar too makes way for his brother Ashton which means Australia are going in with two spinners and two pacers. Christian finds a place in the side too. So he with Marsh will probably bowl the quota of 10.

Australia (PLAYING XI) - Moises Henriques, Josh Philippe, Mitchell Marsh, Alex Carey (C) (WK), Ashton Turner, Matthew Wade, Dan Christian, Ashton Agar, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood.

West Indies (PLAYING XI) - Evin Lewis, Shai Hope (WK), Shimron Hetmyer, Darren Bravo, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard (C), Jason Holder, Alzarri Joseph, Hayden Walsh, Akeal Hosein, Sheldon Cottrell.

TOSS - West Indies have won the toss and have ELECTED TO BAT! Quite strange to be honest! They won the last game chasing but batting first is a lot easier than batting second. Interesting to see if it does work for them.

With all the T20I action and 100 ball action going on, we now turn our attention to the longest white ball format which is the 50-over game and a game of high importance. The winner takes it all! It is the decider, the third ODI between Australia and the Windies. After being battered in the first game, the Windies returned the favor as they leveled the series in style. Can they put in another similar performance or are we going to see the Aussies take away this series? We will find out. Stay tuned for the toss in a bit.
