That's all we have from this match. The series is already done and dusted in favour of Pakistan but there is still one game to go. On Monday, 22nd November 2021, the third T20I will be played at the same venue. The action will begin at 2 pm local (8 am GMT) but as usual, you can join us in advance for the build-up. Cheers!

Babar Azam, the winning captain of Pakistan, says that it was a team effort and they carried on with their winning momentum. Tells that the bowlers did a great job, in all the phases, and pressurized the Bangla batters. Mentions that they prepare themselves for all kinds of totals and it's important not to relax seeing a small total. He appreciates the knocks of Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman. Admits that he is a little disappointed with his own batting but it's a part and parcel of the game and he will try to better it in the next match.

FAKHAR ZAMAN GRABS THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD! Says that the way pitch was playing, it was not easy to play shots but they had time to build a partnership. Shares that the pitch was better than the first T20I, not an ideal one but it was a better strip. Tells that whenever you play outside your country, it's important to win games and they will try to win the last match as well.

Mahmudullah, the captain of Bangladesh, says that they started well with the bat, praises Afif Hossain and Najmul Hossain Shanto for their stand but feels that they didn't capitalize in the last few overs. Tells that the boys are putting a lot of effort into the practice sessions but they are unfortunately missing out on the catches. Adds that the bowling unit has been outstanding and reiterates that the batting unit has to come up with the good things.

Presentation coming up shortly...

Bangladesh were outplayed once again. Their issue with the bat remained the same and once again that department was the sole reason for this defeat. Having said that, after losing their openers cheaply, Najmul Hossain Shanto and Afif Hossain put up a responsible stand and it appeared that the hosts will get a score close to 140-150. But one bad shot selection from Afif resulted in his departure and from there, Bangladesh's batting innings slipped. Their bowling once again was impressive, every bowler tried but they didn't have enough runs on the board. The Tigers were also sloppy in the field, putting down a couple of catches, and need to pull up their socks. Another concern for them will be the fitness of Mustafizur Rahman who walked off the field and we still are not sure about the kind of injury he has suffered.

Pakistan's bowlers once again did the bulk of the job. They were accurate and effective in executing their plans and corrected the mistakes that they committed in the first T20I. The bowling at the death was fabulous as they choked Bangladesh and restricted them to a paltry total. In pursuit, Pakistan sized up the conditions quite well, knew that it's not going to be easy to play shots and decided to carefully shape the chase. The required rate was never demanding, so Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Rizwan had time to plan their innings and the duo smartly stitched a match-winning alliance of 85 runs. Babar Azam with the bat was the only disappointment for them in this game but given the class of Babar, it should not be an issue for Pakistan.

Easy win for Pakistan and they have taken an unsurpassable lead in the 3-match T20I series. It was yet another commanding show from them and they have handed Bangladesh only their second series loss in T20Is at home since 2018.

Commentary

We are set for the second essay! The players of Bangladesh have made their way out in the middle. Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam are at the crease! Mahedi Hasan to start with the ball.

...THE RUN CHASE...

Right then! Pakistan need just 109 runs to win the match and seal the series! It appears to be a comfortable chase for them but Bangladesh do possess a fine bowling attack which can trouble any batting line-up. We are in for another interesting chase which is set to begin shortly.

Pakistan were right on the money from the word go and their bowlers executed the plans to perfection. Shaheen Afridi struck in the very first over and he was backed up well by Mohammad Wasim. The spinners did their job nicely as they hardly gave away any freebies to Bangladesh's batters and kept them in check. Shadab Khan was brilliant yet again as he gave away just 22 runs from his 4 overs and picked up two crucial wickets, not to forget that terrific catch off his own bowling to remove the set batsman, Najmul Hossain Shanto. Mohammad Nawaz and Haris Rauf also got into the wickets column and all in all, it was a fine bowling performance from the visitors.

After opting to bat, Bangladesh once again lost their openers early. Najmul Hossain Shanto and Afif Hossain then staged a comeback with their spirited partnership but just as they were looking to up the ante, Afif Hossain perished by playing a needless shot. Mahmudullah too fell cheaply and once Najmul was dismissed, Bangladesh's innings nosedived. No other batter managed to get in and score freely and as a result, the home side only managed to put up 108 runs on the board. There were a total of 57 dot balls in their innings and that quite sums up their story.

This has been yet another disappointing display of batting from the hosts and they have only themselves to blame for their poor show. The Pakistan bowlers were very clinical and disciplined with the ball in hand and Babar Azam and his men would have definitely taken this score at the start of the innings.

Chance of a run out! Very full and on middle, Taskin has his bat down in time as he digs it out on the leg side. He comes out of the crease, in search of a run but is sent back. Shaheen is quick to reach the ball, he has a shy at the striker's end but misses.

18.51

Shortish and around off, it's ramped down to third man for a run.

Taskin fails to flick and is hit on the back leg. They appeal but the umpire shakes his head. Shaheen convinces his skipper to take the DRS. The replays roll in and the Ball Tracker shows that the impact is outside leg. Poor review. A leg bye is added to the total.

Taskin Ahmed has been struck on his pad and Babar Azam has opted for a review! The Ball Tracker confirms that the ball would have missed the leg stump by a mile and Pakistan lose another review!

OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Nurul departs and with that Bangladesh have lost their last recognized batsman. The slower one does the trick for Shaheen, he bowls it on a fuller length outside off at 78.2 mph, Nurul makes room for a big booming drive but the ball arrives late to take the outside edge. Mohammad Rizwan catches the ball and Bangladesh lose their seventh wicket.

18.21

Shaheen switches to 'round the wicket and delivers a length ball on off, Aminul is stuck inside the crease trying to work it on the leg side. He gets a leading edge instead and it goes down to long off for a run.

We are all set for the game to begin! The players of Pakistan have made their way out to the middle. Saif Hassan and Mohammad Naim are at the crease. Shaheen Afridi to start with the ball. Here we go...

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, says that they would have bowled first anyway and will look to restrict Bangladesh. Tells that both sides struggled with the bat in the first game. He talks about the depth in his batting and appreciates the batting efforts of Fakhar Zaman, Khushdil Shah and Mohammad Nawaz yesterday. Informs that Shaheen Afridi replaces Hasan Ali.

Mahmudullah, the skipper of Bangladesh, says that they will bat first. Adds that it is hard to predict the wicket but it looks like a good one. Tells that in a T20 game you need a good start and they would like to improve in that area. Says that bowlers have been putting in the hard yards but the batting department needs to do well. Informs that they are unchanged going into this game.

Pakistan (Playing XI) - Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Babar Azam (C), Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Shoaib Malik, Shadab Khan, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Nawaz, Shaheen Afridi (In for Hasan Ali), Mohammad Wasim, Haris Rauf.

Bangladesh (Unchanged Playing XI) - Mohammad Naim, Saif Hassan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mahmudullah (C), Afif Hossain, Nurul Hasan (WK), Aminul Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Mahedi Hasan, Shoriful Islam.

TOSS UPDATE - Up goes the coin and it lands in favour of BANGLADESH. They have elected to BAT first.

Pakistan would be quite confident coming into this game but they too have some areas of concern and it was very much visible in their opening game. They seem to have found an able replacement for Shaheen Afridi in Mohammad Wasim who was very clinical, especially with the new ball. Hasan Ali also found his rhythm and set up the game nicely for the visitors. Their middle and lower-middle order batting could prove to be a slight worry for them as they have lacked consistency. Their premier openers in Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan perished cheaply in the first game, however, they would look to make amends in the second T20I and see their team through. Having said that, both sides have all to play for and it promises to be an intriguing battle. Stay tuned for toss and further updates.

Bangladesh fought hard in the first game but they had no answers to Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz's juggernaut right at the fag end and as a result, they suffered a defeat. They are certainly missing the services of their experienced players in Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim but it is a great opportunity for their youngsters to step up and showcase their talent. The batting department is a major concern for the Bangla Tigers and it seems that they rely heavily on their skipper, Mahmudullah. They have bowled well in patches and as a unit, they will have to bring their A-game against a strong Pakistan side.

Pakistan came out victorious in the first game of the three-match T20I series and the series sees a quick turnaround where Bangladesh and Pakistan face off yet again in less than 24 hours. It is a do-or-die match for Bangladesh and they would be keen to put their best foot forward if they are to stay alive in the series. Pakistan would look to seal the series in the second game itself and stop Bangladesh from winning another T20I series at home. On that note, a very warm welcome to the coverage of this game.
