So, that's it from this game! Another game to go which is going to be played on Saturday! Chance for England to inflict a whitewash and for Sri Lanka to avoid it. Do join us for all the action. Till then, take care and goodbye!

Liam Livingstone, Man of the match. Says it was not his preferred position early on, but the partnership helped a lot. Adds that he likes to come in down the order and put himself in his team's shoes and play according to the situation. Ends by saying that he enjoys to play the game without pressure and would love to continue the same way.

Eoin Morgon, England skipper, says it was a good challenge, the wicket was a bit difficult to bat on but in the end he is pleased they came up on top. Adds the initial hiccups were not what we expected but the boys did well to recover and see off the game. States it is amzing to see Wood play. Ends by saying his consistency and hard work helps them a lot.

Sri Lanka skipper, Kusal Perera, says that being in the losing side is not ideal but he is happy with the fight his bowlers showed. Adds batting was once again the problem. Mentions that they should have got to 140-150 to give their bowlers a chance to win the game. Ends by saying that the intent is to play positive but admits the execution was not there and they need to get it right

The Lankans were really impressive with the ball. Their bowlers kept them in the game till the rain arrived. After the break the ball seemed to be coming on a lot easier and they also did not have enough on the board. It was a whole-hearted effort with the ball by them but the batters once again disappointed and the first innings is probably where they lost the game.

The English side though did not start all that well, they had lost 3 in the Powerplay and then Roy too followed shortly after it. They were in trouble at 36 for 4 but Livingstone and Billings showed maturity, batted sensibly, they took England close to the target before Billings was dismissed. Curran though added the finishing touches with a few cracking shots.

An easy win for England in the end and they have sealed the series! The initial target was 112 in 20 overs but after the rain break, 103 was the revised target which was chased down easily in the end.

16.16

SIX! Curran finishes it off in style! He skips down the track, gets to the pitch of it and lofts it over the long on fence for a biggie. ENGLAND WIN THE GAME BY 5 WICKETS AND THE SERIES 2-0!

Commentary

It is time for the chase to begin! Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy are the openers. Chameera to begin with.

It is a target which should be easily chased by England. Also, one expects them to do so quite quickly. Anything other than a England win will be an upset. Is there one on the cards? We will find out.

The England bowling was excellent, their fielding was even better. Have to say it was a complete performance in the field by them, one their captain will be really pleased about. Everybody played their part but Rashid and Wood were the stars.

Another poor outing with the bat for Sri Lanka! They just never got going. They lost Gunathilaka early on and from there on, it just kept getting worse. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and not only that, to add to that, runs scoring was also difficult, let alone the boundaries even rotation of strike was difficult. Just the two batters were able to hit boundaries, one of them was Mendis and the other was Udana. Speaks volumes about how poor they were.

In the air...Safe! A length ball, around middle and leg. Udana follows the line of the delivery and lifts the ball high in air towards the mid off region. Chris Jordan calls for it, as he runs towards the ball. But he is a bit late to get under it, as the ball lands in a vacant area just in front of him. The batters come back for the second. SRI LANKA END THEIR INNINGS AT 111 FOR 7.

19.50

Back of a length ball, around off, Udana looks to play the upper cut as he sways away from the line of the delivery.

19.46

SIX! Udana is doing everything he can to add some crucial runs on the board. Poor from Jordan. This is full and on off, Udana shuffles to the leg side and powers it over the long off fence for a maximum.

19.32

A length ball, on off, Udana pulls it to long on for a couple.

19.20

A length ball, on off, Udana pushes it to cover.

19.14

FOUR! The lankans would take a boundary however it comes. A full length ball, on off, Udana swings his blade and powers it over mid off. The ball ends up in the boundary with one bounce at long off.

What a successful over for Chris Jordan. Just two runs and a wicket of the over. Fires in a yorker, outside off, Akila Dananjaya looks to chase it but misses.

17.50

Slower ball, on off, Akila Dananjaya defends it solidly.

17.4W

OUT! CAUGHT! This is all going downhill for Sri Lanka. Dasun Shanaka was the last hope for the team, this is not a pretty sight for the away team. Jordon gets his first wicket of the game. Serves a full length ball, on off, Shanaka is tempted as it is in the slot. He gets under it and powers it towards long on. But he does not middle it and end up hitting it with the toe end of the bat. The ball does not get the distance as David Willey takes a simple catch at long on.

17.30

16.4W

OUT! STUMPED! Wanindu Hasaranga had to take the risk but it doesn't pay off. His short innings comes to an end. The Lankan side is folding like a pack of cards here. A loopy ball, on off, Rashid takes a little bit of the pace off it. Hasaranga dances down the track and looks to heave it away. He misses the ball completely, as it ends up in Jonny Bairstow mitts behind the stumps, as he takes the bails off in a flash giving no time to Wanindu Hasaranga to turn and make his way back in the crease.

16.31

Tosses it up, on off, Dasun Shanaka works it towards mid on and takes off for a single.

Hello and welcome to the second T20I game between England and Sri Lanka. As expected, the first T20I was quite one-sided in favor of the hosts and the second is expected to be no different. Another good show from the hosts will see them seal the series. Lanka on the other hand, have to win it if they are to stay alive. Will we see a closer contest between bat and ball this time? We will have to wait and find out. Stayed tuned for more updates!
