Right then! That is all we have from this clash. On 7th October, we have two games coming our way. The first match will be played between Chennai and Punjab at 2 pm Local (10 am GMT) and the second clash will be between Kolkata and Rajasthan at 6 pm Local (2 pm GMT). Do join us for the same. Till then, take care and goodbye!

Kane Williamson, the skipper of Hyderabad, is also the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. He says that it has been a tough season for them but it was a great win today. Adds that it was great to see the small adjustments being made by the players on a tough surface. Says that it was a pitch where the batter had to work hard to score runs. Further adds that they were looking to build pressure with the ball as they knew that they would not get results quickly. Says that Maxwell had to be dismissed if they had to win this game and he is happy to run him out. Adds that finishing the game off against a team like Bangalore is a great feeling. About Umran Malik, says that he is a special player and it is not very surprising to see him perform so well in this competition. Finishes by saying they lost quite a few games in the last overs but it is quite satisfying to win one in the last over here.

Virat Kohli, the skipper of Bangalore, says that the intent was to try and do it as soon as possible but he feels like Maxwell's run out was the turning point. Adds that when AB de Villiers was there the game was still on but they missed out due to a short margin. Adds that Shahbaz Ahmed played really well and applauds Hyderabad's bowlers by saying that they bowled really well in the death. Talking about Chahal, he says that he had his away from the game but he has come back brilliantly and he has been magnificent for them. While talking about Umran Malik, he says that this tournament gives talent every year and it is important to make the best out of them and it is good for Indian cricket. Ends by saying that they are optimistic and feel it is a little hiccup in the journey and they will come back strongly.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is down for a chat, he says that his hand is fine now. Adds that in the last over, there were obviously nerves in the last over so he was trying to bowl wide yorkers. Says that they felt that they were 10-15 runs short but they bowled well as a unit to defend it.

Earlier in the day, after electing to bowl, Bangalore did really well to restrict Hyderabad to 141 especially after the start Hyderabad got off to. That though proved to be enough as their bowlers put up a spirited performance to diminish Bangalore's chances to finish in the top 2.

Williamson used 5 bowlers and all 5 of them bowled really well! Kumar, Kaul and Holder began brilliantly in the Powerplay! Rashid did not start off that well but came back strongly later on. Malik was very impressive in his first spell of three but he was taken to the cleaners in his last over. That could have well proven to be fatal but Kumar and Holder kept their nerve. Outstanding performance.

We did feel, 141 was under par but Hyderabad turned back the clock, they were a team which were known to defend low totals and have done so again here. Early wickets are what they needed and they got three. Glenn Maxwell and Devdutt Padikkal then put up a good stand which was taking the game away from Hyderabad. Maxwell once again batted beautifully but his run out changed the game again. Padikkal needed to be there till the end but he fell at the wrong time. Shahbaz Ahmed also struck a few crucial boundaries but he to fell at the wrong time. It all came down to AB de Villiers, they needed 2 biggies from the last three balls. It came down to 1 on the last 2 but it was Bhuvneshwar Kumar who kept his cool and took his side over the line.

STOP THE PRESS! Hyderabad have finally managed to win a game! And what a victory it is! 141 is what they have defended against a world-class batting lineup of Bangalore! Take a bow, Hyderabad, it has been a tremendous effort from them. Also, Bangalore's hope of finishing in the top 2 is almost over. They will be disappointed with this loss but Hyderabad were the better side.

Commentary

Jason Roy is giving a speech to his mates in the team huddle. They disperse on the field. Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal walk out to bat. Bhuvneshwar Kumar to start with the ball. Here we go...

... The Run Chase ...

142 is the target for Bangalore and they would fancy their chances to chase it down. Can Rashid Khan and co defend this? Looks tough but we have seen interesting things happen in this competition. Stay tuned as the chase is coming our way.

Dan Christian is up for a chat, he says that he is still enjoying the game. Says that Hyderabad got a really good start but they did well to restrict them to 141. Talking about his catch, he says that it just stuck in his hand and he is happy with the wicket. Adds that they should chase it down and hopes they get a good start. Adds that it is good out there and there are no signs of dew.

It was yet another good show with the ball by Bangalore. It was George Garton who took the early wicket and gave them a good start. But in the middle overs, it was Harshal Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal and Dan Christian who took wickets to rock the batting of Hyderabad. Patel then came back and finished things really well like he has done on so many occasions in this season. Patel took 3 wickets while Christian took 2 and Garton and Chahal got one. Overall, it was a very good show by them in the field.

Hyderabad did not have the best of starts as they lost Abhishek Sharma early. But Kane Williamson and Jason Roy batted well after that and took them to a good platform. It looked like they would end up scoring a big total, but after the wicket of Williamson, there was a collapse of the middle order and they found themselves at 107-5 in the 16th over. Jason Holder and Rashid Khan tried their best to finish things on a high but were not able to and they ended up scoring 141.

A really good show with the ball by Bangalore. At one point, Hyderabad would have fancied their chances to put on a big score but that hasn't happened thanks to some brilliant bowling by Bangalore.

OUT! TAKEN! A wicket to end the innings and Harshal Patel yet again takes three. Another slower one. On off, Holder looks to go downtown but ends up hitting it high up in the air towards long on. It is taken by Dan Christian there. HYDERABAD END WITH 141!

19.51

Just the one from it! A low full toss on middle, it is whipped but to deep mid-wicket for one.

19.51nb

NO BALL! That did not come out right! A high full toss on the body, Khan ducks under it. It goes over him. Free Hit coming up.

19.40

NOT OUT! Holder was in by the time Harshal Patel got the stumps out completely. Good work though from him. This is on middle, Khan slams it hard but straight onto the stumps at the other end. Holder is halfway down the track and then looks to get back. Patel picks the ball up, runs towards the stumps at his end and goes to uproot the stumps. It is referred. Replays show that Holder is in.

A run out appeal taken upstairs. Jason Holder managed to cross the line before Harshal Patel could uproot the stumps.

17.14

FOUR! Edgy! A fortunate one but Hyderabad won't mind! A slower one outside off, Saha looks to drive it but is way too early in the shot. It goes off the underedge past short fine leg for a boundary.

Williamson picks the ball up and hits the stumps at the keeper's end. Maxwell is well short. Game on now. That is the only way it looked like he would get out. Another top innings from him. 50 needed in 35.

Strategic Time-Out! A fantastic show in the middle overs by Bangalore and Hyderabad have lost their way. They had a good start and a good platform but Bangalore have taken regular wickets to make sure that Hyderabad do not have set batters at the crease for long. From here, a score of 140-145 would be Hyderabad's aim. Can Jason Holder take them there?

We are all set for the action. The players of Bangalore walk out to the field. Jason Roy and Abhishek Sharma are the openers for Hyderabad. Mohammed Siraj to start with the ball. Here we go...

Hyderabad (Unchanged Playing XI) - Jason Roy, Wriddhiman Saha (WK), Kane Williamson (C), Priyam Garg, Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul, Umran Malik.

Bangalore (Unchanged Playing XI) - Virat Kohli (C), Devdutt Padikkal, Srikar Bharat (WK), Glenn Maxwell, AB de Villiers, Dan Christian, Shahbaz Ahmed, George Garton, Harshal Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj.

Kane Williamson, the skipper of Hyderabad, says that they were looking to bowl first as well but it is an exciting opportunity for the players to come out and express themselves. Adds that the mindset sometimes drifts but there is a lot of enthusiasm and they are looking forward to this game. Ends by informing there are no changes.

Virat Kohli, the skipper of Bangalore, says that the pitch is a good one to bat on and chasing is ideal here. Adds that the first game in UAE was a big shock and that was needed to wake them up. Says that they have gotten in the groove at the right stage. Informs that making it to the top 2 is something that they are looking for. Finishes by saying that they are playing the same side.

TOSS - Kohli and Williamson are standing near the pitch for the all-important toss. BANGALORE have won the toss and they will bowl first.

PITCH REPORT -  Danny Morrison is down for the pitch report. Nick Knight joins him and he says that the pitch will help the spinners. Morrison adds that Chahal has bowled really well in the season and so has Patel with his cutters and yorkers. Knight says batters may look to put Patel under pressure by coming down the track to him.

It is all about pride for Hyderabad. They have had a forgetful season but they would love to end it on a high. Two games to go for them and they would love two wins. For that though, they will have to up their performance. Can they deliver?

Bangalore have a lot to play for here! They sit on 16 points, third in the table and two points below the side at number 2 and everyone knows how beneficial it is to finish amongst the top two. They are on a roll and one wouldn’t bet against them to beat a struggling Hyderabad side.

We had two teams fighting for the 4th spot battling it out on Tuesday and today we see a team which has been knocked out and another which has already qualified, lock horns. A dead rubber? SURELY NOT! There’s never a dead rubber in the Indian T20 League. On that note, Welcome to the coverage of match number 52.
